    Very difficult to get face to face appointments. Told to ring next day but same message - no appointments . Not everyone has access to internet or able to use mobile apps

    Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear you're having difficulty booking a face to face appointment. Since September 2022, most of our appointments have moved back to face to face following Covid-19 as we know our patients prefer to be seen face to face rather than over the phone. In June, we moved to a new GP appointment system in which all appointment requests are triaged by a GP. Patients can submit a medical request from 08:00 each working day via the website or NHS app. Admin requests can be submitted at any time, any day. If a patient does not have access to the internet, we advise patients to give us a call and our Patient Coordinators can process the request on behalf of the patient. The team will ask several questions to obtain as much information to enable to GP to triage appropriately. We moved to this new triage system to enable equal access to appointments based on clinical need to ensure appointments are being used appropriately. This system also means those who are not first in the phone queue at 08:30 each day are not disadvantaged. Even with the recent changes, there is still a daily capacity of requests to ensure we are working safely. If routine requests are at capacity but patients believe their request is urgent and cannot wait until the next working day, they are advised to call us so we can process an urgent request on their behalf to be triaged by the duty GP.     I have been suffering from shortness of breath and have received excellent care, thorough examinations. I felt that the gps were caring and sympathetic and I’m grateful to them both for their patience and understanding

    Requested and was given a same day appointment. Receptionist was helpful and efficient and also advised that the system for booking appointments would be moving online next month. Although doctor was running a little late she was still very thorough, pleasant and helpful.

    I was seen by a Practitioner Nurse although requesting a doctor's appointment but she was efficient and dealt with my problem to my satisfaction. I am pleased that I have continuity in seeing someone who is familiar with my medical history. The practice has my confidence that there is always the appropriate service available for a very wide range of problems.

    I love my local surgery and all staff always provide high level customer service,the only thing make my self and my Mum really uncomfortable today was the doctor that when call my Mum in she said "i got just few minutes left"that make my self shocked!!!! I can understand at the moment NHS it's under pressure cause staff shortage but this is not the way to treat people who need caring and health assistance

All clinical appointments at Avonside Health Centre are timed appointments to enable as many patients as possible to be seen safely each day.     Staff here have all been really nice, friendly and professional, with my baby and myself. Calling for an appointment for baby's vaccinations has gone well. A really good practice.
