We needed proof of our fitness to go on a hot-air balloon flight. At first, the practice appeared reluctant to provide this, asking for a proforma to complete. After providing a draft letter and paying the appropriate fees, we were told it could take more than 4 weeks to provide what we had requested. With only a week to go, we were concerned we may not get it in time. However, we did get the signed letters within 2 days - in the end, a great result.

It is not often that I need to see a doctor quickly but when I really did need an urgent consultation I was seen that day. Caring, efficient and professional with great follow up care. Very grateful.

Having recently moved to Wedmore I attended my first appointment with the doctor today. I was very impressed with the personal consultation and feel that at this practice you are not a number but a person. Thank you

We moved to Wedmore 2 years ago and I have had occasion to call on the services if this Surgery. In the main I have found the systems efficient, the staff polite, able and willing and the standing GPs and nursing staff to be both professional and skilful in their tasks. All in all a huge benefit to the community they serve. Well done to all.

I had had a very stressful year which lead to taking time off sick due to stress, the regular contact with a health worker was very useful in reminding me that I was not a failure, that what was happening was largely out of my control, all I needed to focus on was what I could control, and it also helped me speak to my work place and let them know that when I went back I would just be doing my job and not continuing covering for long term staff shortages. I now feel in control, and I have been able to return to a balanced life

After having Covid badly the doctor recommended I have a range of blood tests and urine test to check my kidneys. The doctor also checked my blood pressure and he asked me to do blood pressure readings for two weeks and write a record of the results. I had a consultation with the doctor and he checked my heart and lungs. He was a new doctor and he was thorough.

I phoned the surgery feeling absolutely dreadful. A doctor phoned back later and I was asked various questions. After a discussion about my symptoms, I was asked if I wished one of two things to happen: did I want to come in and be seen (absolutely not, I thought!) or would I rather have antibiotics arranged from the chemist. The whole conversation was focused, I felt that I was listened to and it was made clear what I should do if I didn’t feel better within a certain time frame. No spreading of my germs or having to leave my sickbed. Brilliant! Thank you!

When there is a developing trend of illness in the community I was disappointed the Doctor did not factor that into my diagnosis. Had he done that I’m sure the diagnosis would have been more accurate and my treatment more effective.
