  1. Review titled Awful appointment management

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 April 2024

I requested an appointment on the 5th April, and was offered the 23rd April. On the 22nd, I receive a text message telling me my appointment is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. I try to call the practice as instructed, the calls hangs up without notice. I make a request on Anima, and the first available slot is on the 1st of May. This is outrageous. My issue was not urgent in the first place, but worsened in the meantime, and it is now very problematic for me to wait another week and a half. The practice should handle cancellations much more seriously and offer same-day rebookings, not over a week later.

  2. Review titled Treated very well

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Feedback 1. When I booked a diabetic review on 18th April via the anima site, I wanted to book an asthma review at the same time. (Saving both staff and myself time). Couldn’t see any way of contacting surgery so I had to waste 15 mins waiting on call queue. Nice lady said no. Asthma review next available in one month. This used to be able to be done at the same time. I wasted time, receptionist wasted time. Please go back to double appointments! Feedback 2. I tried to feedback via email. I spent ages searching anima, but could not find a generic contact apart from phone line. The admin site would benefit from a Blank space where we could ask a simple question such as can I double book my asthma and diabetic review. This omission led me to waste time on phone, and the receptionists time too. Please let us ask a simple question on line! Thank you. PS receptionist was lovely. No quibble there! PPS I’m unlikely to book a separate asthma review at all as I’m always ok. (But I would have one if I didn’t have to go twice instead of once for an appointment. I have to walk and catch a bus to the surgery!)

  3. Review titled Inaccessible

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Terrible system to access care when needed. Furious at the service complexity and the barriers it creates especially for the young. My 16yo now doesn’t want his follow up after they didn’t call him for his appointment (despite him going in to make sure he provided his phone number).

  4. Review titled Great physiotherapy treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Karen Harding - Posted on 14 March 2024

I have an ankle injury for which I need physio. I met with the physio on two occasions, and she was so helpful, patient and understanding. I have been given exercises to do, and already my ankle is feeling stronger. Thank you for a friendly and professional service. Much appreciated. Karen Harding

  6. Review titled Great consideration and personalised care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Dr Melissa Snaith - Posted on 13 February 2024

I wanted to comment on the consideration and personalised patient care I recently recieved from this surgey. My GP made a special effort to call and advise me on a problem because she knew that she would understand my particular history and concerns. I am aware of the time pressures and competing demands that GP's have and I really appreciate that she was able to notice and act on this. I feel fortunate to belong to a surgery who make an extra effort to provide personalised care in spite of all the challenges.

  8. Review titled Anima user interface

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Rslavin@live.co.uk - Posted on 26 February 2024

The select practitioner and appt time page does not scroll down the only way to reach the submit request button at the end of the page is to use the browser menu to reduce the page size to 50 percent at which size nothing is legible anima needs work and made more simple 😫

  9. Review titled Good Doctors, helpful receptionist.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Gillian Ewart - Posted on 05 July 2024

The management of this practice is bad. I first visited the doctor in 2023. each time I went it took me at least 2 weeks to get an appointment then another 2 to 3weeks to get a blood test. I have probably used the NHS much less than most and yet when I wanted to see a Doctor it took ages. My family has worked tirelessly for the NHS and I cannot believe the experience I am having. On the 3rd of june I had a blood test on the 4th June I was told I need to have an ultrasound scan this happened on the19th June. I was told that I needed to come back for a biopsy but due to the Junior Doctors strike this hasn’t as yet happened and doesn’t look likely to happen for awhile. I have no complaints against the doctor who did his best with the symptoms that where presented to him, but it is unacceptable that all this has taken over 8 months ( and looks as it will take much longer) due to your computer systems and your lack of knowing your patients. I and 200000 others are now in a queue . In pain and I am sure others much worse than me. When the whole thing could of gone forward within a month. If you go to the Doctor and he says you need a blood test you should not have to wait three weeks . The system needs to ask the right questions and the triage team should assess better. to ask me whether I think the appointment is urgent is foolish that is why I went to the Doctor.

  10. Review titled Pleasant receptionist

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Samantha - Posted on 23 October 2023

Pleasant and helpful receptionist. I do dislike having to discuss my medical problem in earshot of other patients though - no confidentiality there! Perhaps the receptionist could offer the choice of writing it down? Or, to save time and you don't want the whole waiting room to know your problem, you bring some written information with you?
