    Had to register for my husband - everyone was very helpful and the admin staff were very quick to get back to me with the info I needed so it was a very smooth process. Also had to book in for an appointment myself and that too was easy and quick.

    I completed an online e-consult to discuss some concerns regarding my son. Very quick response to this via text message. I got to pick an appointment at a time that suited me, around work. When seeing the GP he was very friendly and professional. Ran on time. Completed a very thorough assessment with fantastic advice and explanation of the next steps. Very impressed!

    Receptionist refused to put us through to a GP in order for emergency antibiotics to be prescribed. Despite being told by district nurse that it was urgently required. Receptionist told us to ring 111. We spoke to them, and they advised that GP would have to deal with the problem. So rang Bchc back again and were refused service despite 111 instructions. All of this is happening after Bchc misplaced a sample 2 weeks ago that would have confirmed the infection at that time. Doctors themselves are great, shame that it is impossible to get through the call centre to actually speak to them.

    I do not contact the surgery regularly but had a situation today requiring me to do so. It did take a while to get through (I was unable to the day before) but once I was through the service was very good. I was offered an on the day appointment, which I attended. The receptionist was lovely, and made me feel comfortable. The GP was caring, did a thorough examination and explained everything clearly. I left with an understanding of the issues I have and what I can do to alleviate them. I was given medication and strategies to deal with the symptoms and an indication of how long this may take. The surgery does get a lot of negative comments (not always justified) but when I needed the help, I got it - so thank you to all involved.

    Admittedly there have been a few issues with this surgery in the past, but I believe (in my experience anyway) that things have vastly improved. On the occasions have needed to contact the surgery I haven't had to wait long on the phone and found the person who answered the call friendly and very helpful - extremely so in one case. A doctor was also in touch within minutes with what I needed. So overall am happy with this surgery and would like to thank all involved for their efforts and hard work.

    I urgently needed some medication for a chronic condition, which the practice was unable to prescribe until confirmed by my consultant. Once that confirmation was received, the medication was immediately added to my repeat prescriptions and processed through my preferred pharmacy within 24hrs - a rapid escalation of the anticipated timescale which I truly appreciated.

    I missed the option at the start of the call to get a call back so been stuck on hold for 1 hour and 30 minutes. This is why I now use private healthcare.

    Dear Oliver Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We acknowledge that the phone system, although one of the most advanced cloud based services on the market, could be better. Our provider is constantly making improvements. Unfortunately, the option to receive a call back is only offered after you have selected your phone menu option and there are more than 3 people in the queue. If you wanted to join the call back queue, the best solution would have been to call the surgery back and select the call back feature. I hope this explains the position a little more.     I applied for a physiotherapist appointment and was offered one with a very short waiting time, which was great! I saw the physiotherapist this week and she was very friendly, professional and thorough in her assessment. I was sent an exercise programme the same day which had been carefully explained and demonstrated in the clinic room. Altogether a very good experience. Thank you very much! Jane Knight
