    The receptionists at this practise are just so lovely. I made an appointment earlier in the month and called for results of a scan today. I've been at this practise for nearly 5 years and have always been impressed with the friendly manner of all staff. It wasn't the same at my previous surgery before moving to this area, so a big thanks, because you're often the unsung heroes.

    Good afternoon During April and May this year I attended Weeping Cross Surgery and Beaconside Surgery for appointments to see your Nurses, I would like to say that the treatment I received from them both was excellent and very thorough. They were both very kind and caring and also reassured me about my concerns. They made me feel like a person and not just another number or statistic.     When booking your appointment at this practice you have to consider that you will be waiting for over an hour until you are seen or not in my case. Can not request telephone call have to wait 33 days Can not request to send photo via link. Zero flexibility or consideration after waiting for a hour told to rebook an appointment because I needed to physically see a doctor.

    Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for leaving your review. I am sorry you have been disappointed with the service received. We do offer same-day appointments to all Patients who need care on the day but these will be spread out during the day. Our appointments are all available as telephone of face to face appointments. In most cases, as a patient, you are free to choose which is the most suitable for you and at which site you would like to attend. There are however some clinical conditions that do require a face-to-face consultation and are not suitable for a telephone one. The team would usually provide guidance on this but if this did not happen I am sorry. If you would like to contact the Practice with further details we will of course investigate this further.     I recently attended an appointment with my son and we were seen by a Doctor. He was very thorough and showed genuine care, ensuring my son got the treatment he needed by referring us to the local hospital. He even contacted me the next day to make sure my son was responding well to the treatment. Very grateful for the service provided.

    I have only been a patient at Beaconside practice for less than a year but I am very happy with the outstanding care and treatment myself and my family have received in that time. The receptionists are so friendly and professional and go above and beyond to get you an appointment despite being super busy. The staff are caring, compassionate and super friendly and helpful. I’m delighted to now be a patient at Beaconside health centre and cannot praise all of the staff from the receptionists, nurses, physiotherapist, pharmacy staff and the doctors enough. It is an outstanding practice.

    My wife called around 8.00am this morning to make an appointment at the Surgery for myself. On arrival I was met by one of the receptionists, who was pleasant and efficient. I sat waiting my time and listened to both receptionists, both were helpful, pleasant and caring towards their patients. Following my appointment with the doctor who had suggested I should have a blood sample taken today, I returned to the reeption area. One of the receptionists took the time to ask the nurse if she could possibly take my blood sample before finishing for the day. Between them them the ladies all showed empathy, care and a willingness to go an extra mile, Thank you.

    I received a telephone appointment today regarding on ongoing issues that are causing severe pain and discomfort to the extent I cannot do my everyday tasks. I needed to understand the medication I was given better and what to take and when due to the amount I had been prescribed over the last few weeks. He did not rush me and asked me to explain my injury from the start. He was thorough and reassured me what to take when and how, he has been the only doctor who's asked me to make a follow up appointment with him to see how I am managing once I have received the treatment I will be undergoing for a few weeks. He was so helpful and I know time slots are limited however still asked me if there was anything further he could assist with. Thank you for a really good experience

    I have always found all the members of this practice very caring and helpful. I became Ill in November last year and received the care of a very caring doctor who took the time to listen and understand my concerns. He undertook to arrange all the investigations necessary to find out the cause of my symptoms which proved to be a significant lung problem. If he hadn't been so diligent this could easily have been a missed diagnosis. I cannot speak too highly of the receptionists who, during the last few months, have been extremely helpful in expediting appointments for me to see a GP or a Nurse Practitioner and also with prescription needs and notes for my employers. They are always professional, courteous, helpful and sympathetic whether I speak to them on the telephone or face to face. Compliments to all the staff at Beaconside Health Centre on providing a wonderful service in what you must sometimes find very challenging in difficult and sensitive circumstances. On one occasion I saw the same doctor at the Weeping Cross practice and found the same level of service from the doctor and also the receptionist who was very professional in spite of a previous upsetting occurrence.     The Reception Staff at Weeping Cross were understanding and efficient during my illness in December and the care & knowledge shown by the Advanced Nurse Practitioner during that time & in my follow up appointment this week, was so much appreciated.

    I've spent this morning for the last 45 minutes from 8am trying to get an appointment. Phone either engaged or cuts off. Theres enough staff to answer. This is ridiculous. If I do get an answer in the next few minutes I will be told to ring at 12pm. This is not convenient which is why I have rang at 8am. Last Friday they offered me an appointment for 4 weeks time! Another month in pain? Waste of time really. The phone service is terrible.

    Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We do endeavor to provide the highest standards of care and treatment and I am sorry this has not been your experience. The telephone lines are particularly busy at the moment as we deal with a large volume of calls and concerns regarding the Strep A infection. However, we do have a clinical triage system in place and if your condition does need same-day care this will be provided. The wait time currently for a routine appointment with a GP is about 2-3 weeks. However, we do have a large clinical team, many of whom can prescribe medication, and wait times for these appointments are reduced. I am again sorry for any upset this has caused and if you do need some care or treatment please do contact us.
