Doctors and reception staff at botley were so incredibly helpful and caring and diligent in the past 4weeks in the way i was treated with my on going illness.Every time I had contact with them on the phone or in person. I feel lucky to have such great Doctors and a great practice team .I can't praise them enough a very professional Doctors practice .

Although not chronically ill, I have health conditions that give rise to symptoms needing to be dealt with when they become more intense. In September 2024, I tested positive for Covid over a period of 8 days, since when I have had repeated periods of flu and bronchial congestion. I was self-medicating with the aid of my pharmacy, but the symptoms were persistent enough to prevent my getting a flu-jab. Eventually I contacted my GP who saw me, then linked me to the surgery’s physician-associate. A visit led to a course of anti-biotics which temporarily alleviated but did not cure my symptoms. My GP / physician-associate team then set-up blood and urine tests and scheduled a precautionary chest x-ray. I am sure that having a physician-associate whose prior experience as an ambulance crewman has brought focus to the diagnostic process. I am glad to have consulted this new member of my GP practice team.

Just completed a prescription request by filling in a form, which was accessed without any problems. Fantastic, especially as I'm not overjoyed when using a computer!

Receptionist was great and so was Physician Associate who was expert, kind, clear and diagnosed the problem quickly and in an evidence based way. Treatment plan was clear and completely effective. I feel very lucky indeed to benefit from such care and skill.

I feel I am looked after very well - I have very frequent visits and they’re always good. They pick up issues quickly and I can get appointments when I need them.

Most of the doctors, I have seen have been pleasant, effective, and efficient, and I would recommend the practice in general. However, for the older patient, I am not sure it is totally appropriate as it is more like a drop-in centre and I am never able to see the same doctor twice am - most of the GPs. do not know who I am, although I have a couple of quite serious conditions. In general it is I will run practice, but I think it is too impersonal for those over retirement age.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback, and I'm sorry to hear that your experience with us did not meet your expectations. We offer two main methods of booking appointments at 19 Beaumont Street. The first is via our Urgent List, which is for same day, medically urgent appointments. Due to the nature of the list, unfortunately we cannot offer choice in a doctor via this method. You are welcome, however, to request that a certain GP views your issues, provided they are the "emergency GP" that day. The second is via our Routine List. This is for routine and non-urgent appointments. When booking, we encourage patients to let us know if there is a certain GP you would like to see – we will always try and book you in with that person. Many of the GPs also value continuity with patients, so please do let us know if you'd like a specific person! It would be good to understand your comments a little more so that we can further work on our service - if you would like to discuss this further, please email me at info.nbs@nhs.net and I will be in touch. I saw one of the practice nurses who was lovely - both professional and reassuring. When the ECG machine didn't work first few tries, she called a colleague in to help and together they got it going.
