  1. Review titled Waste of time

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 31 August 2024

Went to appointment with 2 unusual growths. Diagnosed one and gave a prescription however when I went to collect my medication the pharmacist told me that the medication I had been prescribed was obsolete. I had to purchase an over the counter medication. The GP could not diagnose the second growth and told me to make another appointment to see one of two other doctors at the practice. Reception told me that I would have to wait 3 weeks to see a named doctor. That means I would have waited 5 weeks to see a GP that could help me. What a ridiculous way of working. Thankfully the pharmacist was able to help me with that query too.

  2. Review titled No answer when calling

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I phoned surgery this morning as a wound I had from surgery last week when my wife removed covering as she had done every day since procedure would not stop bleeding and was advised by QE hospital to contact my GP. I was advised by automated message of various options etc and then told that I was no 1 in the queue. After 33 minutes of hearing the same message and being told I am still no 1 in the queue, I was then cut off automatically with no warning. When I dialled again I was eventually told after going through the usual rigmarole that I am now no 3 in the queue. I then went to urgent care at erith hospital where I was in and out in 20 minutes. This is not the kind of service that I expect from my practitioner, when surely telephones should be manned during opening times.

  4. Review titled Answering the phone

Rated 2 stars out of 5

My wife started to call the surgery at 08.00 this morning 19/7/2024, she was number 9 in the queue, ok, at 08.20 she was number 2 she waited untill 09.00 still at number 2. This cannot be right, 1hour to try to get an on the day appointment as she is in extreme pain. This constantly happens when trying to contact this practice, disgraceful.

We apologise for your experience with Belvedere Medical Centre. On 19 July 24 there was a global IT outage problem regarding systems using Microsoft, which unfortunately affected our clinical computer system. This in turn had an effect on the increased number of calls and visits from patients, these calls and visits took longer than usual explaining the situation. We will contact you by phone to ask if you would like to discuss this further and will offer you an appointment with the Practice Manager

  5. Review titled Excellent help when needed

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I would like to thank the reception staff for their very much appreciated help and persistence in getting me the help I needed in sorting out an issue with my daughters medication. You went above and beyond to help and you have no idea how grateful I am. Also to the doctor who amended the prescription. Receptionists have a bad name but should be given more credit for the difficult job they do. Thank you so much

  6. Review titled Damaging to physical and mental health

Rated 1 star out of 5

Attending this surgery has negatively impacted on my ability to manage my condition, as well as reduced my trust in medical professionals. Following a blood test, I was called back to the surgery - the medical practitioner denied I could have had the test; even though it had a) happened, in the next room; b) the practice had called me in to discuss it; and c) was written in the medical records in front of her. Ten minutes later and only a partial recognition, after I read out the medical notes, and no apology. On another occasion at a routine asthma review, the nurse held up her hand, said she wasn't interested in my symptoms and just needed to check a box. I have had many other similarly poor experiences at the surgery, outnumbering the positive ones by a very long way. I am now left with no trust in the medical profession, and an inability to obtain my medication as a result. It is hugely disappointing to have such a poor experience.

  7. Review titled Lack of care and professionalism

Rated 1 star out of 5

I can never get an urgent appointment with any doctor in the last three years for my 3-year-old. It's a nightmare trying to speak to the receptionist. You are lucky if they answer the phone, and then also they will never have any appointments. They don't understand the logic that small children need help today if they are not well and not after 2-3 weeks. Even if you get an appointment after two weeks, it is more frustrating as it won't be with a doctor but a nurse or paramedic. It's wild how they are taking public money but not providing anything, even for children.

  8. Review titled No such thing as children and babies are a priority

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 January 2024

I have had nothing but negative experiences with the surgery. Since giving birth I was made to feel inadequate and neurotic…but I’m an adult so nothing surprises me anymore. My baby has been poorly on numerous occasions and when I have called to make an emergency appointment for the baby I have been informed very rudely that there aren’t any appointments for her so call 111. I thought children and babies are a priority. I had an appointment to discuss an ongoing issue with my infant and was informed by the doctor that I can only be here for one thing when I mentioned that she has a chesty cough. With a brusque check of my baby she ushered us out of the door when I asked about the ongoing health issue. She was unclear, vague and left me bewildered as to what I should do about the matter. I am upset and disappointed that we have been treated with absolute disregard and we are still none the wiser about her health issues. The staff and the doctor I have dealt with have been rude and disrespectful. I’m surprised the surgery hasn’t been shut down. Even though we have been treated this way I have always remained courteous and respectful. This is shoddy work of what should be a professional place for patients to visit.

  9. Review titled Extremely rude receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 January 2024

Several times I’ve come in for my appointment with my GP and the I will come into reception to check myself in and the receptionist would completely ignore me and continue having conversations amongst themselves. I stood there waiting for about 2 minutes before getting acknowledged, which is ridiculous. Not only is this rude but it also makes me late for my appointment.
