  1. Review titled Lack of care and professionalism

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 April 2024

I can never get an urgent appointment with any doctor in the last three years for my 3-year-old. It's a nightmare trying to speak to the receptionist. You are lucky if they answer the phone, and then also they will never have any appointments. They don't understand the logic that small children need help today if they are not well and not after 2-3 weeks. Even if you get an appointment after two weeks, it is more frustrating as it won't be with a doctor but a nurse or paramedic. It's wild how they are taking public money but not providing anything, even for children.

  2. Review titled No such thing as children and babies are a priority

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 January 2024

I have had nothing but negative experiences with the surgery. Since giving birth I was made to feel inadequate and neurotic…but I’m an adult so nothing surprises me anymore. My baby has been poorly on numerous occasions and when I have called to make an emergency appointment for the baby I have been informed very rudely that there aren’t any appointments for her so call 111. I thought children and babies are a priority. I had an appointment to discuss an ongoing issue with my infant and was informed by the doctor that I can only be here for one thing when I mentioned that she has a chesty cough. With a brusque check of my baby she ushered us out of the door when I asked about the ongoing health issue. She was unclear, vague and left me bewildered as to what I should do about the matter. I am upset and disappointed that we have been treated with absolute disregard and we are still none the wiser about her health issues. The staff and the doctor I have dealt with have been rude and disrespectful. I’m surprised the surgery hasn’t been shut down. Even though we have been treated this way I have always remained courteous and respectful. This is shoddy work of what should be a professional place for patients to visit.

  3. Review titled Extremely rude receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 January 2024

Several times I’ve come in for my appointment with my GP and the I will come into reception to check myself in and the receptionist would completely ignore me and continue having conversations amongst themselves. I stood there waiting for about 2 minutes before getting acknowledged, which is ridiculous. Not only is this rude but it also makes me late for my appointment.

  5. Review titled Very Disappointed

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 November 2023

I received an e-mail on 23rd of November saying that my online NHS account was blocked, I went to my gp's reception straight away to ask what the problem was. The receptionist said that I was deregestered because all of the letters that were sent to my address were returned back to the gp, so they believed that I wasn't at the registered address anymore. I really didn't expect something like this, due to the fact that nobody contacted me. I told the receptionist that most of the communication is made online or via text messages (but I receive letters about my smear tests with no problems for example). I've lived with my family in the same address for 17 years and registered with this gp for around 10 years and I haven't had any problems until now. I have a health condition and I am on regular tablets. I have regular checks (last one was in July) and I book my appointments and order my prescriptions online. I felt really let down because nobody contacted me to check my address or to tell me that there was a problem and that they might deregister me. I was given no notice whatsoever. And soon I will need to order my repeat prescription. The lady at the reception told me she will send an urgent email to the person who deregistered me. I went to reception again after couple of days to ask if the problem was sorted. It wasn't. I've now had to fill in a new form as a new patient, however I haven't heard of any updates yet. I am deeply disappointed, because none of this was caused by me, yet I am still having to sort this out. Nobody else in my household has had the same issue, even though we are all registered in the same gp, and live in the same address.

  6. Review titled Receptionist are rude

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 September 2023

I had to call up today as a prescription was not done the receptionist that spoke to me today was so rude and refused to give her name I understand they have some rules they have to follow but there is a way of speaking to someone and explaining. I have never experienced that kind of rudeness with any organisation, I was so calm so she had no reason to be so rude she needs to have lessons in empathy. I have spoken to other receptionists there and they have been lovely and helpful but this who refused to give her name is letting the team down.

  7. Review titled Excellent practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Veronica Keene - Posted on 20 September 2023

I have been with this practice for 18 months. I have found all the doctors, nurses and receptionists to be caring, efficient and helpful. I am sent reminders for long term condition reviews, blood tests and any other tests that I may need. I find any information that I am given is thoroughly explained so I have total understanding. Everyone is very pleasant and kind and I have total confidence in the surgery. Thank you all.

Rated 1 star out of 5

Why isn't there an email address anywhere like every other surgery that have other professionals trying to communicate with the sugery, so then i had to wait a full hour on the phone with only 4 people in front of me to speak to a receptionist.

We do apologise for your recent experience with Belvedere Medical Centre. We do have a surgery bypass number and we have a dedicated email address which is only available members of other agencies and professionals Belvedere Medical Centre used to have a generic email address but unfortunately, this was abused and became unsafe due to the sheer volume of emails being sent and not having the resources to answer each email in timely fashion. 9. Review titled Misleading Appointment Booking

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Catherine Williams - Posted on 07 August 2023

I was sent a text that I needed to book a phone consultation with my GP to discuss my test results. I booked a 10 min slot at a time I knew I would be available. The GP called me half an hour earlier than this time when I was in the dentist chair. I then received another message saying as I'd missed my appointment I'd need to re-book. I called the surgery at the time my appointment was booked, completely confused. After a 20 wait, my call was answered where I was told that there was a 3 hour window for this call, one hour before, 2 hours after. I'd never heard of this before. Feeling a bit stupid I decided to check the original text message I received, no mention of a 3 hour window, I checked the email confirmation of my appointment, no mention of a 3 hour window, & finally I checked the appointment page on the surgery website, no mention of a 3 hour window. So how was I supposed to know this? Also how are people with busy lives supposed to work around this? You could be in an important meeting at work where phones have to be on silent, you could be traveling on the tube with no signal, or in a position where you are unable to answer your phone, like I was in a dentist chair. Does the GP surgery expect you to put your life on hold for 3 hours waiting for a call that might happen, does it not understand how impractical that is? This doesn't happen when you book an appointment at a hospital, dentist or optician, if these places are able to honor the appointment time that is booked, why can't GPs? Also why doesn't the surgery make the 3 hour window rule really clear? I would never have booked the call for 40 mins after my dentist appointment of I'd known. It's a shame because any face to face appointment I've had at this surgery has been really good, but the admin/red tape/miscommunication around appointments is completely inadequate. (Incidentally I found out that my GP had actually left for the day, 10 mins before my booked appointment time slot)

Our Automated system will generate an appointment reminder 3 days before and again at 1 day before booked appointment. For Telephone appointment the message will be:- Appt reminder: month – day either am or pm - PLEASE DO NOT COME to the Surgery as this is a phone appointment. We will try to call you at your booked appointment time but you may be called up to 1 hour before or 2 hours after this time, please ensure you are available to accept the call. We apologise for this. We can only apologise if you failed to receive these messages. The reason for the time scale is so that clinicians can manage their daily workload better and have the possibility to ask patients to see them face-to-face the same day if required

  10. Review titled Email

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Teresa - Posted on 09 August 2023

I have been trying to contact you by phone and have been on hold for 40 minutes. I need your email to send a doctor's letter. This is a waste of my working day time. It would be helpful for you to provide a clinical email address for professionals.
