Had clear communication from the practice after making appointment. The doctor I saw was understanding , caring and made me feel heard. I couldn’t have asked for more. The appointment resulted in a referral with confirmation of this sent to me within hours of the appointment.

Review titled Great practice.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Dennis - Posted on 27 March 2024
We have been patients of this practice and it's predecessor for over 35 years. In our experience we have always been dealt with promptly. These days there seems to be a process where a nurse is seen prior to a doctor, and if the nurse is able she will deal with the issue. This visit was no different and I was seen by the doctor within a few days (it wasn't an urgent problem). The doctor has referred me to a specialist for further treatment and I had a response within the same day. I am very pleased with this surgery.

Review titled Kept us waiting over an hour
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 March 2024
My 3 year old had an appointment with a GP as she was unwell. We arrived 10 mins before our appointment time and checked in with the receptionist who asked us to take a seat. 50 minutes after arriving (40 after our appointment time) I went to ask the receptionist (now a different person after a shift change) when we would be going to see the doctor. We know they are usually running behind but it seemed an unreasonable delay at this point. I was informed that we hadn’t been checked in so the doctor had assumed we hadn’t turned up. The waiting room was relatively quiet but no one thought to come to check for a 3 year old when our appointment came around. We were then marked as arrived and waited a further 20 minutes, meaning we went in to see the doctor an hour after our appointment time. This is a long time for a poorly 3 year old to be waiting. The doctor assumed we were late and had missed our appointment when we went in to see her so I had to point out that we’d actually been in the waiting room the entire time. The doctor did apologise and the level of care my daughter received during the appointment was excellent. There was obviously a glitch in the system (or some human error) during the checking in process and perhaps this needs to be reassessed or have measures in place to check in the waiting room before assuming patients have not turned up.

Review titled Good doctors, poor booking time
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Barry Snellgrove - Posted on 06 March 2024
The doctor was great but the long delay in getting the appointment was not good. The time taken by the doctor in reviewing my notes as he is not my regular one is unfair in him and waiting patients

Review titled Nice practice
Rated 4 stars out of 5

It was good to be able to check in using the self check in screen, easy to use. A fairly new addition I believe, fortunately for me I don't visit the surgery very often, so I hadn't used it before. I saw a GP I'd not seen before, he was very pleasant and took time to discuss my reason for being there, and any necessary ongoing treatment. Wasn't impressed with the choice of music in the waiting room, calming I guess, but a bit boring.
