    Had a really good experience with the GP themselves. Really knowledgeable, easy to talk to, not patronising when I said I knew things that some would perhaps not have know. Super helpful and made me feel at ease with the whole appointment and like I was listened to. Unfortunately though, it took almost 8 weeks for the appointment. I couldn’t just get an appointment booked because it had to go through the bookings team, who took 3.5 weeks to give me an appointment for a day I had previously told them I couldn’t do. Rang to change it and had to wait… another 2.5 weeks for a new appointment to come through 1.5 weeks later (so a total of almost 8 weeks from requesting to having the appointment). Seriously… why can’t we just book an appointment over the phone or at reception so it can fit in for both them and us?? Or go back to being able to book online. Anything other than 6 weeks just to get a date! At least call us to arrange it so we aren’t wasting time back and forward to find dates that works? Feels very much like the receptionists are literally there to say hello to people walking in the door and not much else. Too many hands tied and people unable to help with the real issues. I’m still waiting on a call from a diabetes nurse following some recent tests… I’ll be cured by the time they call me at this rate. Such a shame because the doctors really are fantastic if you can get in to see them. It’s the only reason I haven’t moved surgeries. The care from the GPS and most of the nursing staff is brilliant.

    Generally friendly receptionists and GPs have usually listened and took what I tell them seriously. Very hard to get through on the phone sometimes and booking a call back has to be done as soon as the system opens.

    Had to queue for several minutes but weather was good so no problem. Once in, the team were very quick and efficient and both of us were in and out within five minutes. Maybe slightly too many people booked in for a single slot, hence the queue. Otherwise fine!

    Have chest infection. Rang appointments and asked for call back as I was #7 in queue. Got call back in 30 minutes, told that a pharmacist will ring. Pharmacist recommended that I see a doctor and I got an automated appointment for following day. Saw doctor, confirmed chest infection and prescribed antibiotics.

    Thank you for arranging these vaccinations. The event was very efficiently organised and run. Plenty of invites and appointment reminders too. I did feel some acknowledgement from the admin person/ nurse sat at the computer entering my details (rather than faced with her back and her calling me questions) would’ve been appreciated. I understand that time efficiency was necessary and important though.

    This appointment was originally for the Flu vaccination. In the end l had the Covid19booster vaccination at the same time. I had had some difficulty booking the appointment as twice on line after being asked to book by text l was greeted with the message, "There are no sessions available". However, I was able to book the appointment by Patford House on line via their messaging service, which is very good. I was surprised to then receive an email advising me to book an appointment some time after l already had! The text messages and email made me feel it was considered by the NHS very important l had both vaccinations, especially the Covid19booster. I was therefore subsequently surprised when the nurse told me l was "eligible" for the vaccinations. I had not asked for the vaccinations. I had simply followed NHS advice to have them. I was offered them: l did not request them. I was asked for my date of birth, which was fair enough but I was bemused when l was then asked my age, as it seemed self-evident from my previous answer that would be obvious. However, I cannot fault the professional manner in which the vaccinations themselves were performed. I have to wonder though what the point was of sending out text messages to follow a link to be then told "There are no sessions available"; especially as this happened twice, with the Flu vaccination and the Covid19booster.
