    Rang the surgery yesterday asking to make an appointment to see Dr, I have to wait 5 weeks to be seen. Although it isn’t urgent, still shocking to have to wait 5 weeks to see a Dr. Will be looking to move surgery’s.

    I am writing to express my disappointment with the service provided by Bilborough Medical Centre. Specifically, I have found the reception team to be unprofessional and lazy. On multiple occasions, I have witnessed them ignoring incoming phone calls and, on at least one occasion, I have had the phone hung up on me. While I have had positive experiences with the doctors and nurses at the medical centre, the reception team's behaviour is unacceptable and a significant hindrance to the overall quality of care provided by the facility. I strongly recommend that the reception team be revamped or replaced with a more professional group, or that regular spot checks be conducted to ensure that they are meeting the appropriate standards of behaviour.

The behaviour you describe is not what we would want patients at the practice to experience, I am sorry that it happened to you. Some customer service training has already taken place with our reception and administration teams and we will endeavour to undertake further training and spot checks to ensure standards improve.     Tried to get an appointment for my 14-year-old daughter 3 times in the last week. 'Come back at 8.00 o'clock in the morning' is not a reasonable response. When we do go back at 7.50am we are still turned away! Had to spend 6 hours waiting in A&E instead. I understand you are busy, particularly in December, but the queuing system is utterly broken. You really need to do something about it. I cannot, in good faith, recommend that treatment, or lack of, to anyone at the moment.

I’m sorry to hear your experience in December 2022 didn’t meet your expectations. Our urgent on the day appointments are release at 8am, but as you acknowledge demand outweighs supply most days. We are constantly reviewing the structure of our appointment availability to try and increase capacity through a multidisciplinary approach that offers patients appointments with the most appropriate person for their needs.     I'm really disappointed about this surgery.Lack of staff,rude and unprepared.They don't know nothing.They put you to ring every single day at 8 o'clock just to pick the phone after 40 mins and let you know they don't have any appointments.You can't even book an appointment in 2 weeks time.The receptionist very rude and unhelpful.I don't recommend at all.
