Review titled Poor customer service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Mr R Maries - Posted on 08 November 2024
Tried 3 times to speak to any one in the practice via telephone about how to enrol on the NHS health check. Got into a que and waited patiently. Got to position 2 twice and first once only to have the phone call terminated. Very poor service, almost unrecognisable as to the way it was.

Review titled Just amazing....
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Andrew Freeman - Posted on 27 October 2024
I hate the medias portraying on the nhs. I rang Binfield Surgery at 8 am, number 2 in the queue, got a call back 20 mins later and offered a blood test appointment fo 11 am that day. I could not even do that privately. Be nice, follow the guidelines and it works, it aint broken....

Review titled New phone system
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 16 October 2024
Pleasantly surprised by the ease of getting an appointment using the new (post June 2024) phone system. Have rung in at 8am & used the automated queue system to receive a call back in a timely manner to book an appointment for the same day. Many thanks

Review titled Appalling and rude. Worse experience on NHS
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 September 2024
I’ve been dreading calling Binfield surgery as I know I will have to wait ages for the call to be answered by a surly receptionist and then have to wait for a call back at an inconvenient time to book an appointment with the Dr if such a thing would be possible. This practice has gone down hill so fast. It used to be great and you could book appointments in advance or on the day. Now it’s almost impossible to get one. They are rude, inefficient, unhelpful and wholly a waste of time. The NHS in general is a complete waste of time and money but never so much so as is Binfield Surgery. Register anywhere else but here if you can.

Review titled It is what it is.......
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Natasha Jones - Posted on 10 September 2024
Can you get an appointment, no. Can you with most surgeries, no. Is the NHS broken, yes. Are the staff in the practice trying their best - in my opinion yes. Why do I say this? I moved to Binfield under a year ago and my previous surgery was very similar whereby you had to call at 8am for a same day appointment. Again, demand outweighed availability and it was very difficult but then I never previously had access to a nurse to triage, online prescription requests processed promptly nor a practice manager who acted and responded to email/s. I have contacted the practice manager to ask if something was possible, which was in place at my previous surgery. The practice manager responded within an hour of my email and had actioned what I had asked if it was possible - I couldn't have asked for more. I then contacted the reception email to ask if a referral for my son could be expedited as he had been waiting in excess of 10 months. This isn't their fault or arguably something they would be required to do but again within a short period of time I was contacted by the medical secretary informing me she had emailed the appointment team to ask. This hasn't resulted in his referral being expedited but she did all that she could and that is all I can ask and expect. Don't get me wrong I am equally frustrated at a 'service' that has changed since covid but I don't think this is an individual surgery issue it is an issue of poor management by our government through covid which has placed the whole of the NHS in a position which will take years to 'fix'. We are where we are and by constantly leaving negative reviews achieves nothing, I wouldn't want to do their job.

Review titled How the Mighty have fallen.
Rated 1 star out of 5

This used to be the Guiding Light on how a GP Surgery should be run. My wife and I have been with it since 1993. Now in 2024...?? Absolutely dire. 08.05 take up the option to remain in the queue for a call whilst remaining in my current call position. Called back at 08.25 to be told there are no more appointments that day. Binfield Surgery - you are now a total farce.

Thank you for your anonymous review. Binfield Surgery are now working in line with the BMA’s safe working guidance, to deliver safe care at not more than 25 contacts per day. Once we have reached safe working capacity, patients are directed to NHS 111, extended access hubs or other providers.

Review titled Lack of appointments
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Phoned at 0800 no answer Called back at 0805 no appointments left ,this is a very poor service from our local surgery and leaves patients anxious about resolving an issue which could be serious The service has certainly deteriorated over the last few years as we have been patients for over 40 years When you actually see a doctor they are excellent but getting past or getting an appointment seems dreadful

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to hear that you have not had a good experience. It is always helpful to receive feedback so that we can look into where we can improve. Unfortunately, as you have not provided me with your personal details I am unable to contact you directly to look into all of the points you have raised but would be very happy to do so. Review titled Very good practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Wendy Newill - Posted on 19 June 2024
I have had to deal with the surgery frequently on behalf of my parents. I have found the receptionists to be very helpful and have always had callbacks from a doctor the same morning. I have always been able to see a doctor with my parents when required and have found the disposing of prescriptions to work well . I recently had to take my father for a problem with his hip . He was examined and sent for a x ray at Heatherwood the same day . We had the results back within 3 days

Review titled Poor practice

Call at 8:00am, listen to lengthy recorded information only to be told queue has reached it's maximum, goodbye. Have stopped email requests for repeat prescription, use Patient Access or NHS App. Do this to find prescription item not listed, phone surgery, lengthy recorded information again, choose dispenser. Told no. q1 in a queue then cut off with a call back later dispenser is helping another patient. Before being cut off it tells you to email the surgery with your repeat prescription request yet the lengthy recorded information tells you that this is no longer possible. When you could email it worked fine. Which is it? So they have changed things and made it a lot worse. This surgery used to be good, now it is not. Seem to do everything possible to avoid speaking to you. Can't talk about a doctor appointment as impossible to get through to get one.

Brilliant, just brilliant - from transferring to getting an appointment, physio and referral. Understand the frustration with waiting time to get through - but no different to any other surgery. Very impressed with the doctor involved and highly recommend
