I came for a blood test but forgot the cards issued by the hospital. The nurse was kind enough to let me nip back home ( 2 mins away) and get them and I still didn’t wait! Very kind friendly and efficient

The receptionist was new but tried and was helpful and kind and the nurse was brilliant. Informative and helpful, listened and was swift and understanding. Thank you.

I have worked as a GP receptionist so know the difficulties but this place has such an unwelcoming team and make it very difficult to see a gp- and I do know it's sometimes hard to please the public and you're employers but it could be done so much better. After a telephone consultation the gp advised a blood test followed by a telephone consultation with a GP two days later to discuss results, now a simpler way would be for him to arrange this but I had to ring back and not be able to get an appt until a month later and then bot to be able to make a follow uo appt to discuss results as diary didn't go that far ahead And she argued that I didn't need it with a GP!! When I rang again she said ring after you have blood sample-as if I could get a tal appt in two days. Very bad l.

The visit today was quick, easy and simple. The problem with this surgery is getting hold of your named gp. You use E consult to pass messages on to your go. This used to be no problem. Now you get accused by who ever manning the E consult. Oh you can’t always get the gp you require. Or if you clearly ask for your preferred GP advice on a on going health conditions. You get told it’s not a booking system! Which wastes Even more time. I know my GP Is brilliant. The NHS staff are fantastic too. Shame a couple of docterx are using a bullying Tatics !

Went for removal of stitches, although they were difficult to remove, the nurse remained professional and compassionate throughout, even when she had to get another nurse to help. Both were really lovely and did everything they could to make the discomfort as manageable as possible.

From booking to the actual appointment, I had no issues. As always the only sticking point was the wait time for an appointment to see a GP face to face.

My most recent experience at Blackthorn restored my faith in the doctors at Blackthorn who have been under tremendous pressure due to covid and staff shortages, who listened to everything I needed to say rather than watching the clock and arranged further tests as quickly as possible.
