I saw a lovely nurse for my blood test, she was very friendly chatty and looked as if she really enjoyed her work. Extremely professional, an all round good experience. I would also like to add that the receptionist was friendly and very approachable.

I was able to get a steroid injection at the surgery as opposed to waiting for orthopaedic choice and having to travel a considerable distance. The doctor was punctual, professional and very considerate and administered the knee injection with minimal discomfort and was amazingly effective at distracting you from the injection. Thank you!

Doctor listened, viewed and took on board problem and instituted action and follow up. The hope is that this will significantly improve my quality of life, which after years will be very welcome.

Never any appointments. Just tried to book my 6 year old daughter for an ankle injury but all I was offered was a telephone call (Because it can be examined and she can show where it hurts over the telephone??). Our son was so bad 18 months ago he spent 2 weeks in hospital, but still he couldn't get seen here. We were moved here from Lowford 2 years ago (Where we always had appointments) with the promise of an improved service but quite frankly it's been terrible. The staff are nice but they are put under terrible pressure by the practice having inadequate resources.

I arrived for an 8am appointment. Doors were locked. Waited outside with two others. When door was opened by a team member, she ignored waiting patients. My appointment was on time, unrushed, explanation and information was offered. Future options made clear.

I found all members of staff to be helpful and friendly when visiting the Doctor recently. I was able to talk easily with the Doctor and explain my concerns and she checked me over and reassured me.

I had been prescribed blood pressure medication abroad which I needed to have changed to an English prescription. The tablets were going to run out in less than 2 weeks but I couldn't have a phone call from the doctor for over 2 weeks. I kept ringing daily for a cancelation I then started worrying I wouldn't get a prescription on time, the doctor did ring in the end but rang my Mums phone number even though I had up dated it so I didn't get the phone call. I ended up calling 111 who could see the problem and arranged a phone call for over the next 24 hours. I was then sorted for the prescription change and future mointering. I was so worried and stressed not knowing if I would be about to get the medication on time. Not the Blackthorn health center I've been going to for 30 odd years. The actual doctor I spoke to was very good just the system to get seen in not working very well if you are out side the box
