    A big thank you to Bridge Medical staff (practitioners and admin) for the excellent holistic and very efficient approach to my recent cancer diagnosis. The admin and professional support provided to link in with my planned treatment at East Surrey has been excellent-professional, proactive, caring and completely patient focused. Thank you again: I really appreciate it.

    The surgery is quick to bombard me with e mails for invitations for flu jabs yet absolutely no follow up for mental health. I am absolutely desperate my mental health has deteriated badly Not only slightly. I'm am struggling to take care and look after myself properly as I am really overwhelmed A suggestion of colouring book and pencils? How is a colouring book and pencils alone going to help? I am exhausted because I am not being listened too and yet again being fobbed off. Mental health is just as important as physical health yet nothing gets done. I have lost all total hope and trust in this surgery I was promised that if ever I became unwell with my mental health by the mental health team I would receive immediate help and support. If my mental health is not important and that makes me a second class citizen to this surgery then neither is my physical health. I cannot be asked and be expected to keep up with my meds come in for the important flu jab blood pressure and blood tests when I am not being heard or being listened too and no support given. I am getting more unwell and I have totally lost all hope it is totally unacceptable the surgery currently making me feel even more desperate and making things so much worse!!!

    Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you have had a poor experience with our mental health services and would be keen to understand it further. You are right in that a patient mental health is just as important as a patient's physical health and would like to reassure you that you are definitely not a second class citizen to our Practice.     This review refers to a particular occasion when I had a call from a care nurse who was asking about my well-being. I was not expecting the call, but it was fine. I was asked about my condition, after the first cycle of my treatment and also if I wanted any support. A polite and caring call it was.

    The GP who rang me was really professional, offered me sound advice and was empathetic. I have always found everyone at Bridge Medical Centre kind, caring and most helpful. A great Medical centre - thank you.

    I joined this surgery a couple of years ago after being fed up with shoddy treatment from another one. Since joining I feel every GP and staff member I have spoken to has truly listened to what I had to say and they have acted accordingly. Admittedly with COVID things became a little more complicated and initially, I felt the e-consult was a brush-off. However having used it three times now, I can see that it is actually a good system. The GP (or similar) reads what I have said, then I get a text message or telephone call depending on the situation. This suits me fine as it saves a trip out to wait in the waiting room to be told what can be said in a text just as easily. The one time I had to see someone (my recent visit) I was in quickly and the person I saw, came across as polite, interested in what I had to say, and importantly wanted to ensure I get the appropriate care needed for the complaint I went in about. Even the receptionists have always been polite and don't think they know it all - as many I have come across over the years - I have absolutely zero complaints with this practice and am so glad I left the awful uncaring surgery I was with for too many years. Finally, I just want to say a big thank you to everyone at the practice, and as soon as you're taking patients again I want to move the rest of my family to this practice so they actually get the care they need too. 10 out of 10 :)
