Review titled Diabolical
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Mrs TM Andrews - Posted on 12 April 2024
After wanting an appt as I was having early signs of UTI but wasnt able to get one for 7 days i was given the 13/04/2024 at 11am i received a txt from surgery to advise my appt time had changed to 14.15 I was not informed of this to see if that was suitable. I then receive a txt at 6.07pm on Friday 12th to advise the day/time has been changed again to Monday 15th at 5pm totally unacceptable again no call was made to see if that day/time is convenient. I urgently need to see a doctor as i think I may have UTI of which i have had for over 7 days now I have had sepsis twice and been admitted to hospital on several occasions to have antibiotics intravenously due to the severity @ quickness of these infections of which the surgery are totally aware of. I am totally and utterly disappointed at this service yet again its hard enough getting an appt. This requires urgent attention as it is totally unacceptable.

Review titled Fantastic nurse
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Stevi Fountain - Posted on 07 October 2024
The receptionist is lovely and the nurse who took my blood was the nicest most wonderful person! She took the time to talk to me and shared a similar situation which was so kind. I would have her do my bloods all the time and will try going forward!

Review titled phone for appointment
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 04 March 2024
Rang at 8:00:20, twenty seconds after the phone lines opened. Still on hold 90 minutes later. If you've got no appointments available, say so. A man could die waiting for you to answer.

Review titled Bad practices
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Hitesh - Posted on 22 March 2024
I called today, for my son's ear infection on my first call had to wait for half hour, the lady I spoke to was really rude, didn't wanted to listen to me and told me that they got no appointment and either call 111 or take him to hospital. Where I was told by doctor to call back. The. I called 111 they sent the surgery electronic referral and asked me to call surgery back. Again I was told to take my son to hospital as they don't have any urgent referral appointments as well. Frustrating thing is their phone system is also scam where when you press 4 for referral it doesn't forward the call anywhere only way you can speak to someone is by pressing 1 for appointment. Really bad surgery I really don't recommend them.

Review titled Extremely Bad Practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Sam C - Posted on 09 April 2024
This practice is perhaps the worst practice I have ever experienced in UK having lived in a number of cities and towns including Manchester, Birmingham, Lytham St Annes and Loughborough. Not only is it extremely difficult to get a GP appointment here but their communication system is awful, none of their apps work and you could spend hours without getting access to the surgery through telephone. Recently the most frustrating thing here is getting on line prescriptions for repeat medicines. It used to be easy last year, but now far worse this yea , for example I requested repeat prescription on 25/2/2024 but this did not arrive my designated pharmacy until 4/3/2024 when some medicines were already exhausted so I went to the surgery to complain and was told that prescription would reach the pharmacy next day, i.e. 10 days after the request was made . Again I requested for my repeat prescription on 27/3/24 but until 8/4/24 it didn't arrive my designated pharmacy so I made the journey to the surgery and complained. The same receptionist apologised on both occasions and said she will make sure that the repeat prescription goes to the pharmacy next day. I told her this is not her fault but a systemic issue which must be addressed by the company that runs the practice. Apparently they don't seem to be serious about any improvement at all despite high level of patient frustration and complaints.

Pharmacist was very helpful and gave me some good advice. He advised against using a particular drug and said I should make an appointment to see a doctor about the problem.

Review titled Pathetic Process and System
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 June 2024
Extremely pathetic appointment process and overall management system. I am 1 full year overdue for my Smear test which could potentially put my life at risk. Visited them every week for last 6 months but never managed to get booked in. Patient complaints are not heard, patient requests are not noted, appointments are never available. Every month a new process is implemented without any communication. Nothing works. Truly frustrating as there is no way of escalating things. Illnesses can progress and become fatal while waiting for an appointment. Such a shame!

Review titled My appointment was not there
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Joanna - Posted on 22 February 2024
In short, I called in one morning in February and after a 50 minute wait spoke to a receptionist. I got an appointment for 10 days later. Turned up on the day and time allocated only to learn my appointment wasn't there and there was no record of me talking to the receptionist at all. Feeling entirely let down and helpless. Now I need to call in again, not certain that my call will be answered and appointment recorded.

Review titled Impossible to book anything including cancer screening
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Sarah r - Posted on 22 February 2024
Continually sent reminders about booking cervical cancer screening but after weeks of spending 4 hours+ on hold to GP surgery, i am still unable to even speak to anyone. Told by answer phone message to use Patches but on Patches it states they are unable to take requests due to high demand. This surgery is appalling, it should not be this difficult for someone to obtain an appointment for something as important as a cancer screening. Disgusting.

Review titled Unfortunately not what it used to be
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Amee Tomkins - Posted on 14 February 2024
This used to be an amazing practice. I never had any issues getting appointments, seeing doctors or nurses but Unfortunately since the take over it has completely gone down hill. No one ever answers the phone anymore. And I have tried for hours on end for weeks now. Not one of my calls has been answered. I had abnormal tests results was supposed to see the same doctor that asked for them. Saw a different doctor who said he didn’t care about the abnormal would be ignoring those and that’s it. I have been left still unwell and in the same situation as before. Same doctor wasn’t clear on the notes so reception didn’t understand what was supposed to be happening. Received a call from a nurse telling me they would call me back following week and they haven’t. Told to use patches. It’s never on…never working and when you do use it can take a week for someone to get back to you. Even going in the surgery 8am I haven’t got appointments. I received amazing care before the switch over and always highly recommended this practice. Not happy with the treatment received from medical staff apart from one doctor (dr ifould) and one of the nurses who takes bloods. They are the only positive interactions I have had lately. The reception staff are friendly enough and do try their best. But I feel extremely ignored, unheard and frustrated that I cannot access the medical care/advice that I need to.
