    This surgery used to provide excellent patient care with an emphasis on seeing ones usual GP for continuity of care, sadly not anymore. Navigating the E-consult form is painful, with ridiculous repetitive questions, that usually lead nowhere useful ! If you finally do get past being "triaged" then you are more than likely to be seen by a "healthcare professional" who are not always in my experience the most suitable or qualified. The merger with the nearby Wilderness Road practice, cannot be a cause for celebration from the BGP patients point of view as it will now put the existing practices under further strain. Patient appointments are now been rescheduled to different surgeries which also isn't always helpful.

    Dear Patient, We are sorry you felt disappointed with our service. Due to high demand for healthcare service we find that eConsult system allows us to triage appointment requests on the basis of medical urgency while also helping us keep the telephone lines more available for those patients who do not have access to internet or technology required. We work as a multidisciplinary team and aim to book patients in for appointments with the most appropriate clinician for their specific medical concern. We have Specialist Nurses, Paramedics, Health and Wellbeing Advisors, Practice Pharmacists, Health Care Assistants, Phlebotomists, Physician Associates, MSK specialists as well as GPs. If you get in touch with us via the practice website and give us some details about your appointment we will be able to check if you have been triaged appropriately to see the right member of our clinical team. Thank you for your feedback on the Wilderness Road Surgery merging with the Practice. We have been working hard over recent months to ensure that this goes as smoothly as possible, and that patient care continues for all patients with minimal impact or inconvenience. Let us reassure you that we do not anticipate the merge to have an adverse effect on our appointment system.     I have always historically had great service from Bgp. But since the introduction of E Consult, I can never find the condition to e consult on (Heart condition). Always I have to select an other symptom and explain. As I say once you manage to get past the e consult, the staff are great.
