  1. Review titled I’ve lost all trust in them

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 June 2024

I’d recommend the nurses here but pretty much all other medical staff I’ve seen have been appalling. My most recent experience being a telephone consultation where I didn’t feel listened too and this is reflected in the notes that aren’t accurate and are mostly just the story the person wanted to tell. What is the point of an econsult if it isn’t going to be read in conjunction with my medical notes? I feel the diagnosis is wrong and I was prescribed a medication that the NHS website advises against giving to people with heart conditions. I mentioned my heart condition in the consultation and the full details are in the my notes (and recently too). It’s a good job I decided to read a little more about the drug or I would have ended up in hospital.

The nurse i saw today was very cold towards me. She seemed to be in a hurry and wouldn't even listen to anything i had to say. Not even a smile, anyway, she changed my medication without even going through my records properly.and i kept trying to explain ,but she had such an attitude.

  3. Review titled Appalling

Rated 1 star out of 5

You can never get through on the telephone. I have been left without any medication as I was due for a medication review and this surgery relies on the chemist to tell them! This is not acceptable when they have processes to set up text invites as and when a patient needs to be seen. The staff you do manage to speak to sound fed up and generally unhelpful and not friendly. If I had a choice I wouldn't be registered here

Dear Lisa Tantardini, I am sorry to hear that you have had difficulties get through on the telephone. We had a new telephone system installed in May and hopefully this should not be a problem again. The new system has a queuing system and allows patients to request a call back if unable to wait. I am hoping that this will resolve the issue you have experienced. With regards to your medication issue this is not acceptable and should not have happened. If you are on Repeat Dispensing system for your prescription the pharmacist would inform you that the last prescription has been issued and that you need to see the GP for a review. If you are on normal repeat system, we should have informed you by text that you needed a review, please accept my apologies on this occasion as I'm not sure why this did not happen and I will look into this for you. I'm also sorry that you found the reception staff sounded fed up and unhelpful, as you can imagine it is very busy and demanding on reception, but please let me reassure you that our reception staff are here to help and assist our patients at all times but sometimes on occasions this does not always meet patient expectations. If you would like to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards Practice Manager

  4. Review titled Impossible to get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 March 2024

Today, I tried to contact them to make an appointment. You used to be able to phone up! You used to be able to book online! Then they introduced that ridiculously complex eConsult that ask a million irrelevant questions then tells you to go to A&E or call 999! Now I can't even fill one of those in; it says "Your practice isn’t accepting online requests right now"

Dear patient, I am sorry that your experience today to book an appointment with a doctor has been unsatisfactory. Unfortunately, due to Medical Staff sickness we have had to close our eConsults as we have reached capacity and only have limited appointment availability. Our practice is a 'Total Triage' Practice and all appointments are booked via eConsult. Once an eConsult is submitted it is triaged on the day by a clinician and an appropriate appointment is then booked by the receptionist or a link will be sent to you directly to book an appointment Once again I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. 6. Review titled Nit getting an urgent appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mrs. Gloria Ison - Posted on 11 February 2024

After completing an e.consult I was advised that I needed to see a doctor.??? I was in extreme pain and just wanted to see a doctor. I was replied to via my mobile and I was instructed to go to A & E As I was in pain I really did not want to wait hours and hours I A & E. I was told that the doctors could not help me. I went to A & E and after 4 hours was seen by a doctor who advised some test. Urine, chest x ray, urine and test. All tests were unremarkable. I though I may have a kidney stone but that was ruled out and was told I must have pulled a muscle. I new I had not pulled a muscle. When looking at pain on left side of back and waist. Shingles was on the list. I'm extremely angry that I could not see a doctor on that day Monday 5th February 2024 . I would like the woman who instructed me to go to A & E to listen to her patients request and possible have more training. I did have shingles. If she had let me see a doctor he probably would have diagnosed shingles and I would have been prescribed Antiviral tablets within 72 hours which is recommended. I was at A & E for 6 1/2 hours in great pain listening to people crying, arguing, complaints and a drunk man took his trousers and pants down and urinated in front of 50 people. Please tell me please, if you are sending your patients to A &E and to their local pharmacists. What on earth are you actually doing. I would like to know what the name is of the woman who instructed me to go to A & E so I can avoid any contact with her in future. Please reply .

  7. Review titled confused

having been sent a text message to book a health review which must be done within the next 7 days otherwise the link will not work, I got straight to it! However it seems there are no appointments and to contact the surgery. after many hours of trying via the phone I decided to pay a personal visit only to be told again there are no appointments. Further to this I submitted a prescription request three days early for it to be rejected. had to wait until due date when I resubmitted. still waiting two days later for it to be authorised which will then take another day or two to get to the chemist. Really Broomwood?????

  9. Review titled Terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

They make appointments over the phone then forget to record them, so you turn up to find they've no record of the appointment. They're always late. They're inconsistent when recording results, they don't listen and I've never seen an actual doctor, they employ non-medical qualified staff with little or no understanding of the health issues. They're quite good at telling you to take over the counter painkillers.

  10. Review titled Very poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 June 2023

On hold for 24 minutes and 16 seconds listening to a recorded message on a loop. Finally answered and was cut off after giving the requested date of birth. I appreciate that the lines may be busy and that some calls take longer but to then cut off the call is extremely poor. Thank goodness I was not trying to get through for urgent advice.
