I attended today (8/12/22) as a referred appointment and received excellent care for my particular condition. The practice nurse was very thorough and went above and beyond with the process.

I attended the surgery today for an ECG and blood tests. The appointment was on time, I was welcomed warmly and all aspects of the procedure explained fully. I was treated with dignity and kindness by a professional and very knowledgeable clinician. West Lodge is an excellent surgery.

I came to West Lodge Surgery for my babies final set of Jabs. The nurse was so lovely. She spoke with me before and after the Jabs and she gave me loads of advice. She even asked me what I am doing for the rest of the day and if there is anything she can help me with. Really friendly nurse.

Reception are always so helpful and nice. The practice is clean, well informed, well displayed. Waiting time hasn’t been long. Nurse I had was very professional, welcoming, relatable and made me feel comfortable. She also explained what was happening, asked all the questions and follow up agreed/clear.

I was trying to call the practice to find out when my and my babies 6 week review would be. I was always on hold over 20 mins and on one occasion was on hold for an hour and a half; challenging with a new baby! Would have actually been quicker to walk there and back and speak to reception directly. I didn’t have the 6 week review until week 10/11 and only after calling on multiple occasions and being told I was on a waiting list. The check itself for me was very unsatisfactory after an emergency c section. No one checked my scar, I was having terrible trouble breast feeding, I was just asked if I felt OK. I assume my daughter’s check was completed OK. My daughter’s 8, 12, 16 week jabs all took place at different branches of the practice rather than at west lodge which we are registered at. The 12 week jabs got cancelled and it took another call on hold for 30 mins or so to get them rebooked, and not for another two weeks, so the 16 weeks got pushed back too to 18 weeks. The nurse at the west lodge practice that did the jabs was excellent. I had bloods taken to check my thyroid but have never had any results and so don’t know if I should continue to take my thyroid medication. When I spoke to reception they said if I haven’t heard anything I should assume everything is ok?! Does that mean I should keep taking the medicine or not? Working closely with the health car sector I appreciate it’s on its knees at the moment, which is worrying as it clearly impacts on the level of care that can be given to patients.

I had minor surgery on my back which was carried out in a professional, courteous and friendly manner. The procedure was full explained to me beforehand and the operation went well. Later that day I had some heavy bleeding from the operation.. my wife contacted the surgery and 10 minutes later I was seen by a nurse and a doctor giving me reassurance that everything was fine. I was patched up, given some spare dressings and went home. Fantastic aftercare.

Telephone appointment,I was very happy with the appointment it resulted in arranging a home visit from a very good paramedic who carried out a very intense examination and carried out a number of tests and arranged calls from various services.Also Doctor arranged a hearing test as a result of which I have now got hearing aids.Really impressed with speed in which this was carried out.

Tried for 4 days to get appointment although ringing in at the right times could not even get in the queue for a good 10 minutes something needs to be done we should be allowed to see a doctor that day or at the very least the following day.

Having moved doctors due to being unhappy with my previous GP I have found West Lodge to be a far better practice,I feel I have received first class treatment since joining them,from reception staff ,nurses and GP ,thank you all
