  1. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sarah gadsby - Posted on 28 June 2024

Within minutes of submitting my online request my doctor had text me to say a prescription was at the chemist for me. Had to call surgery to re-locate, was met with efficient and compassionate help. Thankyou to my doctor and reception staff for being so kind and helpful.

  2. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Carol - Posted on 24 June 2024

I had chest pain and following a chat with a GP, I was seen within hours by the surgery paramedic. I received excellent care and feel that my symptoms were thoroughly investigated, leading to a clear diagnosis. This helped to alleviate my worries and I’m very grateful for the expert care I received. Many thanks to you all.

  3. Review titled Script Team Negligence

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Lewis James - Posted on 08 May 2024

I have a digital paper trail of over 18 emails and 'Klinik' system requests since July last year where I have had to chase CarntoCoast regarding my prescription for pain relief for my Arthritis, as well as other issues. This correspondence does not include all the calls too. They have forgotten or missed my prescription countless times leading me to believe that whoever deals with issuing the scripts, be it a team or other members of staff are completely negligent in this operation. Despite multiple requests to investigate why this continues to happen regularly, no one has stepped up to do so.

  4. Review titled Poor practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by James - Posted on 24 May 2024

Filled out the online application and waited for response. In the end had to go to surgery in person and was told although I was in constant stomach pains and had no appetite, was losing weight and tired all the time, it was not urgent. I reminded them that I had previously had cancer and was obviously concerned as to what was wrong with my body. I was told I could be lucky and get an appointment in 3 or 4 weeks, which I thought was disgusting. I was told they were very busy, I looked around and saw the one patient in the waiting room. My reaction was “ if this is busy, what’s it like when it’s quiet”.

Dear James, Thank you for posting this. I am sorry to learn of the poor experience you report in your review and concerned that you have not given us sufficient detail to identify and contact you about it. The purpose of our system of triage is to make sure that a GP reviews the information provided by the patient and prioritizes on the basis of their clinical judgement. If this went wrong in your case, it is important that we have the chance to review it. I would ask you please to get in touch with our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) via c2c.pals@nhs.net and we shall investigate. I would assure you that our Practice is never ‘quiet’ but only different degrees of busy and our workload overall cannot be correctly judged by how many patients are in the waiting room of one of our surgeries at any given time. I apologise for any false impression given to you. Yours sincerely, Stephen Holby Managing Partner

  5. Review titled Good Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The Acute Nurse was most helpful. She was following up on my recent health concerns. She was professional and took care to ensure she was facing me when she spoke as I am deaf

had a very friendly and comprehensive chat with a Doctor at Pool Health Centre. Re my application for an appointment made over 4 weeks ago. He covered all my questions in and promised some action in a professional, yet personal manner. Well worth the wait

  7. Review titled Speedy Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Becky - Posted on 29 April 2024

I contacted the practice via Klinik late Friday afternoon for a one off prescription. I was impressed when only 10 minutes later a text came through from my doctor informing me that the prescription had been issued. The text also contained advice about my medication which I was grateful for. For any time, especially a Friday afternoon this was brilliant. I have used the Klinik forms a few times now and find them so easy to fill out.

  9. Review titled Worst Practice I Have Ever Experienced

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jill - Posted on 10 April 2024

Almost impossible to get an apointment. Often their system is down or at clinical capacity. Phone appointments --maybe! -- after 6 weeks for things when the doctor needs to examine you. If the matter is 'routine' you wait. If they think it is 'more urgent' you are told to call 111. They simply don't seem to care about their patients. There is no holistic approach. They seem unaware of the latest medical research or treatments available. They really would rather you didn't bother them. I called with a health concern on 15 Marxh. I got a text saying someone would be in touch on 17 March. I self-managed, and got a text today saying I woul dhave a phone appointment in another two weeks... on a day I am not available. When I finally got through to change it, I was told that the appointment was treated as cancelled and I'd have to go on a waiting list. 6 weeks later and I am no nearer seeing a doctor.
