  1. Review titled Speedy Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Becky - Posted on 29 April 2024

I contacted the practice via Klinik late Friday afternoon for a one off prescription. I was impressed when only 10 minutes later a text came through from my doctor informing me that the prescription had been issued. The text also contained advice about my medication which I was grateful for. For any time, especially a Friday afternoon this was brilliant. I have used the Klinik forms a few times now and find them so easy to fill out.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Victoria Mitchell - Posted on 09 April 2024

The lady who took my call was very caring from the start . I was feeling very poorly and sorry for my self . She was very professional, caring and kind to me and helped go through all the questions she needed to help me . Then the doctor called he was very kind and caring as well . I can’t thank them enough . A real credit to carn to coast

  3. Review titled Worst Practice I Have Ever Experienced

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jill - Posted on 10 April 2024

Almost impossible to get an apointment. Often their system is down or at clinical capacity. Phone appointments --maybe! -- after 6 weeks for things when the doctor needs to examine you. If the matter is 'routine' you wait. If they think it is 'more urgent' you are told to call 111. They simply don't seem to care about their patients. There is no holistic approach. They seem unaware of the latest medical research or treatments available. They really would rather you didn't bother them. I called with a health concern on 15 Marxh. I got a text saying someone would be in touch on 17 March. I self-managed, and got a text today saying I woul dhave a phone appointment in another two weeks... on a day I am not available. When I finally got through to change it, I was told that the appointment was treated as cancelled and I'd have to go on a waiting list. 6 weeks later and I am no nearer seeing a doctor.

  5. Review titled They don't appear to interested

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 April 2024

It takes months to get an appointment if you are lucky, a blood test took several months before I was seen. At that appointment I was told that I should have had my medication reviewed and further blood pressure tests done as it was high but I heard nothing. After going on line, it seems that the earliest I can get a blood pressure test is in 3 weeks time! On the few occasions I have been into Holmcroft, the people behind reception normally way out number one person waiting, ie just me but it seems that their response to anything is "do it on line" rather than trying to actually do anything. And despite all of this, it seems that they are still accepting new patients.

  6. Review titled Disappointed

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 March 2024

I’ve been asking for the past year to be seen by a doctor about my Colitis. Most of the time. They have no knowledge on the condition or no how to help. I was sent down to penzance for just a routine blood test. Took less than five minutes. I don’t drive and had to get the bus from Camborne. Which takes 55 minutes. I Heard nothing back from that. Been to see doctors about being seen by a specialist for my colitis and see if I can get a bag fitted. Never heard nothing back. Not even a referral letter. medication doesn’t help at all. Just aggravates it. I had this since the age of 18. After my last big flare up. with no pain relief or any medication to help my condition. Makes me feel that they don’t care at all. now have a massive lump on my pubic/ groin area. Which I no is possibly a hernia. I don’t no! Because it’s been 2 weeks and I haven’t heard nothing back and I am in doubt I will do or get anything done about this. I can’t stay on the sick because I have a family to provide for and the money doesn’t cover the bills, so I have to work thro all this. I’m beyond disappointed.

  7. Review titled We’re lucky to have you

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Francesca Morrison - Posted on 09 March 2024

I’d like to thank you for reacting so promptly to my initial symptom of endometrial cancer and for processing my subsequent surgical treatment so speedily and efficiently. Your response was sensitive as well as timely. More generally, I believe Carn to Coast patients fare far better than many at other surgeries, despite the difficulties of long waits for appointments. Specifically, I find the Klinik response time and content helpful and usually reassuring. These comments are not made on a wave of post-op euphoria, but hopefully to signpost what works and what doesn’t and to encourage the NHS at a time of its greatest threat.

  8. Review titled Do not listen and a waste of time

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 February 2024

Had a number of appointments for an ongoing issue and within a follow up an emphasis was placed on contraception (this is very far from what the appointment was supposed to be for). After explaining my reasoning for not wanting contraception I felt as though I was being coerced and scared into having some form of contraception and I feel as though they treated me like a misinformed teenager as opposed to a rather well informed adult. I have witnessed many failings during my visits to this surgery including other dissatisfied and distresses patients. You are not listened to and your notes will often be recorded incorrectly due to this. A complete waste of time.

Rated 1 star out of 5

My wife has an ongoing abdominal issue, recent procedures at trelisk. Left with no back up care, spent last weekend with visit to barncoose in extreme pain almost admitted. Was told to get in touch with own doctor. Came home with pain relief and antibiotics. 5 days later cannot speak to doctor, was told she can have a telephone interview in 6 weeks. That was later withdrawn. Still in pain and cannot even talk to a doctor. Has to go back and present herself to a+e. Has been totally let down by carn to coast.

  10. Review titled You are better off seeing Dr Google

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 January 2024

Terrible practice sent in a request for medication for a symptom I was suffering severe pain caused by gout. I sent in a request by email as I had previously been prescribed for this condition. 5 days later I received a email from them saying I have got to complete a clinic form online so it can be assessed. By this time I had suffered for 5 days with no medication other than paracetamol. Now looking to switch to another practice as carn2coast are just incompetent

Dear patient, Thank you for your feedback. We apologise that our GP felt it necessary to make further enquiries of you before assuming clinical responsibility for prescribing, bearing in mind the known complications that can arise with Naproxen. I am sure that one of our GP’s would be able to explain more fully if you were to identify yourself to our patient advice and liaison team (c2c.PALS@nhs.net). We do appreciate that, although we responded within three business days, this caused a delay in your receiving medication which you had previously found to relieve your condition. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee to be in a position to issue medications ‘on demand’. Yours sincerely, Stephen Holby Managing Partner
