This surgery is making life extremely impossible for me. I happen to live in East Ham but work 2.5 hours commute away so I need to always book a day's annual leave just to try and enter the "book an appointment lottery". The website to book appointments is down so we can only book by phoning it at present. I cannot be on hold for 40 mins at a time whilst working hence I need to take leave just to try and get an appointment. We can no longer even turn up at the start of the day and ask if there are appointments available and god help you if you ask to book a routine appointment in advance! I need to have a review for HRT having been on it for 3 months. I have been passed from pillar to post while begging to try and see someone just so I can get a repeat prescription. I went for blood tests last week off site and instead of being able to proceed with requesting to see someone later, I call for my blood results today only to be told they are "normal". What does that even mean when I was told I need bloods before I can even request a repeat prescription? I now have to wait until tomorrow before I can even book an appointment to discuss these results and maybe beg so I can have a review of the HRT so I can finally get some more? I am now 1 month without HRT because it is so difficult to book an appointment. Reception staff are so rude about this and have a "yeah, and?" approach when I asked for help. I am at my wits end. I just want to see a GP who has some knowledge of perimenopause and it's like pulling teeth trying to achieve this.

I’ve had a great experience with Central Park Surgery, especially when it comes to managing my repeat prescriptions and booking my asthma review. The reception staff are always respectful, polite, and extremely helpful. They handle requests efficiently and are more than happy to answer any questions I have, no matter how small. Booking my asthma review was quick and straightforward, and they made sure I had all the information I needed. It’s reassuring to know that the team is so supportive and approachable when it comes to ongoing healthcare needs.

I am writing to express my concerns regarding my recent experiences with the appointment booking process at your practice. I believe that constructive feedback is essential for improvement, and I hope my observations can contribute positively to the services you provide. Firstly, I would like to address the significant waiting times I have encountered when attempting to reach your reception team. On several occasions, I have found myself waiting between 45 minutes to an hour before being able to speak with someone. While I understand that high demand can lead to longer wait times, this has been quite frustrating and has made it challenging to access the care I need in a timely manner. Moreover, when I finally managed to connect with a member of your team, I was disappointed to find that face-to-face appointments were not being offered. I understand that there may be valid reasons for this policy, especially in light of ongoing health considerations, but I would appreciate more clarity on the rationale behind it. When I inquired about the lack of in-person appointments, I felt that my concerns were met with rudeness rather than understanding. It is vital for patients to feel heard and respected, especially when they are seeking assistance with their health. Additionally, I have experienced difficulties with the alternative options provided for booking appointments. The suggestion to call back the following morning at 8 am is not practical, as I have found it nearly impossible to get through due to the high volume of calls. Furthermore, the links sent to me for online booking have not worked, adding to my frustration and confusion. I truly believe that the primary goal of your practice is to support and assist patients in managing their healthcare needs. However, my recent experiences have left me feeling disheartened and dissatisfied with the service provided. It is my hope that by sharing this feedback, improvements can be made to enhance the overall patient experience.
