    After ringing continuously for twenty minutes I did get through and got an appointment. I was seen on time and the doctor was very good. He listened to me then examined my problem. He explained everything I needed to know and gave me a prescription. I was very satisfied with my experience.

    I called on a Monday morning first thing as I had bad eczema on the palms of my hands. It took less than ten minutes for my appointment to be booked and within an hour an a half I was seen by a doctor who was professional and efficient!

    As an 80-year-old man who has been a patient at this practice for many years, and who also makes very few medical demands, I was extremely disappointed with the service I received today 24/11/22. I started ringing the practice just before 8am to make an appointment, finding the phone continually engaged, and eventually managed to speak to a receptionist at 8.45am after being 13th in the queue. Was told that all appointments for today had gone, and when I asked if I could have an appointment at a later date, was told I would have to to ring back again in the morning! Was finally offered an appointment at Kingsgate House in Stockport which I accepted, because luckily, I still drive. If I was 13th in the queue,and if all the callers ahead of me were requesting appointments - surely there are enough GPs in that practice to deal with 13 or more patients in a full working day???

    Appt was on time. The staff were all helpful and professional. The doctor fully explained the procedure to me and what to expect afterwards.

    Vaccination fine but chaotic as first days. Trouble is getting through to the surgery and recently had a blood test to check medication but was never told the result or discussion on how I felt

    Went for the flu vaccine. Had a 20 minute wait but the staff were pleasant and efficient when I was seen. The check in computer system on arrival was quick and easy to use.

    I have been visiting the Cheadle Practice for 50+ years and have always felt their staff provide excellent care and advice. My recent visit to receive a flu jab confirmed this opinion; my only concern is that by offering COVID and flu vaccines at the same time results in too much crowding in the reception area. This then creates problems with poor social distancing and resultant noise issues for senior citizens who may have hearing difficulties. If this high attendance continues as Winter approaches some ‘temporary’ protection against rain, snow and cold wind should be provided for those in a long queue.

We’re taking on board feedback about the overcrowding of the reception area and asking patients to arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before their appointment time. The clinics are expected to continue for the next few weeks, so we hope there will be less crowding and therefore exposure to the elements. Thank you for taking the time to feed back!

    I came for my flu/booster injections yesterday, because the reception area downstairs isn't very big I did think that there were to many people in at one time, it was nearly 30mins after arrival that I got called in. As for the male nurse I saw he was lovely very chatty put you at ease was done and dusted in minutes.

We’re taking on board feedback about the overcrowding of the reception area and asking patients for the flu clinics to arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before their appointment time, and trying to free up more staff to support arrivals where we can.     Very long wait on telephone to make an appointment. Not enough receptionists. Closed Wednesday afternoons. When I did go into surgery to make an appointment, I was offered one at a different surgery miles away. What’s going on with the Cheadle Medical practice ? I would like continuity. Every time I go , I see a different GP. Huge waiting time to see the most respected GPs

    Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and I’m sorry to hear you’ve not had a great experience. We are currently recruiting for additional receptionists which we hope will help the situation and reduce call wait times. Patients also have the option to submit routine queries online through our website, which we find can help with phone wait times. We try our best to offer continuity but unfortunately this isn’t always possible, the national shortage of GPs mean there are often fewer appointments than we would like, which has a knock-on impact on continuity. We are trying our best to recruit additional GP support to alleviate the issue.
