Got an appointment after a short time on phone. The doctor was brilliant and I really felt she spent time analysing my problem. The receptionist was lovely as well !

  2. Review titled Very satisfied with treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have a lump which has developed on my face recently. The doctor examined my face and said he didn't think it was anything to worry about and why and to go back if it's still there in 6 to 8 weeks.

Great appointment with a locum, was told I needed urgent blood tests within 2 days and they would call me back that day, heard nothing until 4 days later by text for a blood test which will now be 8 days later, can’t be that urgent I hope. Not great really

  4. Review titled Informative care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Rang the practice at 9 am and got an appointment that day for 10am. Dr discussed my condition and made it clear under what circumstances I needed to came back for a further apt and that once my lab results came back if a prescription was required I would be notified. Later in the day I received a text from my pharmacy informing me my antibiotics were ready. Very pleased on this occasion but the practice needs to be more consistent in having an adequate number of appointments available, since I have struggled to get apts at times in the past.

  5. Review titled In despair

Rated 1 star out of 5

I’ve had a hereditary condition that gives me high cholesterol and subsequently gout. This was diagnosed nearly five years ago and I’m still not being medicated effectively. Triaged by the receptionist. I work full time and am often left unable to walk. I worry that my high levels of cholesterol for over 50 years will lead to the inevitable. With 3 children I worry constantly.

We are sorry to hear you have not been satisfied with your experience at Cheadle Medical Practice, our reception team are highly trained to triage our patients to ensure they are receiving the correct care, they use strict guides set out by the practice to ensure our patients are being offered the correct level of care. As I am sure you are aware the NHS is under immense pressure right now and there are not always appointments available, in this case the reception team would signpost to another local service such as a walk in clinic or 111. If you feel you are not receiving the correct medication please get in touch with our reception team and they will book you an appointment with a GP to discus this matter. Kind regards, Cheadle Medical Practice

  6. Review titled Great service

Rated 4 stars out of 5

    by Mrs A M Gregory - Posted on 13 February 2023

I rang the practise at 0855 this morning and was amazed to be first in the queue. I was also amazed that after speaking to a very helpful receptionist, I was offered an appointment today, especially as both my husband and I have been unable to get appointments on several occasions over the past few months. The doctor was thorough and very helpful. I'm very satisfied with the service I've received today.

Rang up and eventually spoke to a receptionist at8.40am,she was very good and took all my details and said a doctor would ring later. He rang a little later and arranged for a doctor to visit and that took place this afternoon. I could not wish for better treatment.

  9. Review titled Unable to provide continuity of care

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 January 2023

I have a history of respiratory disease in my late 60s and my repeat medication was suspended until I could have a medicines review. However this was not possible until after my medication ran out (no appointments). I finally had a telephone appointment with a pharmacist who re approved all my medications after a 3 minute phone conversation but booked me for blood tests. Following the blood tests I received a text from a practice GP saying I need to make a routine appointment. 3 weeks later after phone calls with very polite reception staff, there are still no appointments available so Im gambling that its nothing too serious and getting on with my life.

  10. Review titled Below expected standard

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Mrs Chadwick - Posted on 22 January 2023

Blood tests take. On the 8th December 2022. Rang several times to get results to be told I am 23rd in the queue or worse 31st. As a full time employee that works in an sector that does not allow phones I do not have the capacity to wait for a call back or stay on hold for longer than my hour lunch break which I have done several times and still not got to the front of the queue. Finally got a text from surgery on the 7th January telling me I had a telephone appointment on the 17th “sometime” in the afternoon. Again couldn’t get through to the surgery to explain the phone situation so had to ask for special permission at work to have my phone on and accessible. Finally got to speak to GP who prescribed medication based on blood tests. That was 4 days ago and I am still waiting for my prescription to get to the chemist and yet again I can’t get through on the phone to ask about it. I have sent an email in the hope that they will answer but previous experience of this type of communication with the surgery dose not leave me feeling confident of a reply. I am seriously considering changing my GP after being with Cheadle Medical for 48 years. This leaves me feeling very sad and disappointed that it is coming to this.
