Great experience with reception really went out of their way to help me with regards to repeat medications following an injury. Couldn’t fault the reception staff. Always polite and helpful.

  2. Review titled Unbelievable

Rated 1 star out of 5

Monday I requested a repeat prescription which was completed by wednesday but I also wanted an extra item, which I've had before over my 34yrs with this surgery. When my sister collected the items my extra was missing. So I rang surgery and I was told it would be sorted on an emergency prescription. Well at 1700 sister was told it hadn't arrived and when she went to surgery to find out why, was told it was refused. Great now I'm stuck indoors with alot of pain.Phoned again and was told to phone in morning leaving me with a sleepless night. This surgery over the years has gone from an exceptional one, where you could see same doctor and get an appointment within a day or two, to extremely bad where it's hard to get anything sorted. If you are looking for a good local surgery this isn't the one. And when you fill a survey in which I have done a couple of times nothing seems to change

  3. Review titled Dreadful & Horrible Surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

Not really sure why this surgery exists as every time you ask for an appointment, they will give you a month out. This seems to be the standard practice with them. Having said that they have appointments which can be taken for the same day by calling in the morning. This clearly points to the fact that they have slots but don't want to give out. It defeats the whole purpose of primary care. I have highlighted this number of times but to no avail. It would be better to close this practice and open more walk-in centres are that is what it is, no better. Never been able to see a regular GP. Not sure who regulates these surgeries as this one is completely useless

  4. Review titled Very difficult to get an appointment or to speak to doctor

Rated 1 star out of 5

Calling in morning to book an appointment is next to impossible. They have no appointments available. Even after calling 111 booked an slot from 10-12 and visiting surgery multiple times for ecg and chest pain appointment, then also I wasn’t seen through. No call back by doctor, receptionist not helpful.

  5. Review titled Great practice, bad experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by FMC - Posted on 06 February 2023

I called this morning to book 2 appointments, one for me and one for my daughter. I was given 1 appointment and told that we would both be seen at the same time, when on arrival i explained this to the doctor and she quite rudely refused to even see me. I got rather upset which she had no compassion for me and said she was way too busy. I've never had a problem here so i find this quite upsetting and in so much anger.

Dear Patient, We are extremely sorry to hear about your experience. During the busy period of winter, where general practices are already struggling to cope, it becomes difficult for us to to squeeze in extra patients in between clinics. I have spoken to my patient advising team and unfortunately you misunderstood what our staff member was trying to convey, they did not promise you will be seen, they said you can ask the clinician if they can fit you in. I would like to sincerely apologies to you if you felt the clinician was not compassionate, but it was not their intention. We always endeavour to provide a professional service. If you would like to discuss this with the Patient Advisor Manager or Practice Manager please kindly contact the surgery at 01689 852204. Kind Regards Practice Manager Chelsfield Surgery
