I recently come across unexpected issue then i shared with my female Doctor thankfully she decided to refer me for cystoscopy then they have found about my enlarged prostate ! Which I have started my treatment already. I was wondering if she hasn’t referred me then my issue would be more difficult!! I believe she always works from her heart not as a task! Not only for me as I have heard from the others. I appreciate all service's I get from cornwall surgery.🙏🌺

  2. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I recently needed assistance with my father’s prescription and the receptionist went above and beyond to help us. He was incredibly helpful, attentive and made sure everything was sorted out quickly and efficiently. The doctor was also very understanding and together their kindness and dedication made a real difference and we’re very grateful. Thank you for such excellent service!

  3. Review titled Barriers to getting appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

The practices online form to arrange an appointment is always closed. Theres no good reason for a digital form to be closed unless you want to make it harder to book an appointment. A patient should be able to request an appointment at any time a book the next available one. It seems like maliciously designed to prevent people making appointments so they can appear to be meeting targets.

  4. Review titled Impossible appointments system

Rated 1 star out of 5

It has now become impossible to get an appointment to the point where I may as well not have a GP. You can't even submit an econsult request as instructed, because although it says you can submit between 7am and 6.30pm unless you manage to do it before 8am it is closed for the day and it just says to try again tomorrow. This surgery has been shockingly poor for years, but it now barely functions. If you phone and manage to get through to someone then you just get told to complete an econsult form and so it goes on... I have been trying for over a week now to submit an econsult for a non urgent condition but which I do need to see a doctor. NHS 111 tells me to make an appointment with my GP. If only.

  5. Review titled Consistently terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

Impossible to actually talk to a doctor, or book an appointment online. The doctor sent me a text which I can't even reply to, telling me to check the NHS website and get advice from a pharmacist. Both of which I had already done before trying to get a doctors appointment, given how difficult it is to even get an appointment at this practice!! A simple check of my child's age, and the doc would have known that there is no over the counter option for a 3 year old. A simple phone call and I could have told the doc that myself. Instead I received a generic text with information that google could have given me, which I am unable to respond to without calling the practice again. At least enable 2 way communication if you're going to communicate in that way! It is impersonal, unhelpful and insulting to be honest.

  6. Review titled Appalling service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Neeroo Girdharee - Posted on 15 March 2024

I called this morning about an ongoing cough that I had previously reported. I was told a GP will contact me. I received a text message asking me to book a telephone appointment and the first one available is on 8 April 2024!!!! When I called the surgery again I was told nothing could be done and the receptionist rudely terminated the conversation because I was begging for help asap. This is not the first time that I have experienced such poor response and I have never received a response to emails I sent about it. Is this the customer care that we need to expect from the surgery now? I joined the surgery in 1993 and all I can say is that the service has gone downhill considerably. I know there are some good doctors taking proper care of patients but it sheer luck who gets to see you and I have been disappointed on several occasions.

  7. Review titled Thank you

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I would like to thank the practice from the receptions to the female Dr. that took care of my mother this week . The Dr. listened not only to me she also spoke gently and respectfully to my mother. Arranged an immediate prescription to a late night pharmacy and a Rapid Response Nurse to come out and see my mum that avoided my mum having to go to Hospital at night. So would like to thank them all the NHS at its best! Thank you for your care .

  8. Review titled Excellent practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Martina - Posted on 06 October 2023

The timely treatment I have gotten this week is reflective of the great treatment I have gotten over several years with this practice. After having an accident last week I have been able to get quick treatment and advice from them. The receptionists are always helpful and when I was ill and upset earlier this year the doctor was so empathetic. The NHS is under so much pressure, but it's clear how hard these people work, thank you so much.

  9. Review titled Terrible neglectful practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 October 2023

I am prone to skin cancer. A growth on my face appeared to which o got a phone appointment. Nobody phoned on the date, I was promised they will the next day 2 weeks later no call. It's not the first time they prove to be careless and neglectful. Since few years ago the doctor in charge left it went from bad to worse. Her successor is indifferent and lack of compassion in my and others experience. Go somewhere else if you can.

  10. Review titled Failure of duty of care

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 April 2023

I have been speaking to them for 4 days now about ongoing bleeding, including filling out a form to get an urgent appointment. They have instead booked a routine appointment days away. In the meantime my symptoms have got worse, however, they have refused to see me due to the scheduled routine appointment. While I was speaking to them about a further deterioration they rescheduled the routine appointment even further away and told me that I have to fill out a form yet again in order to get an urgent one, even though I have already done this. This GP shows no commitment to patient care. It pretty much refuses to treat emergencies as such. (I have spoken to 111 who told me that I should have been seen urgently days ago.) The form that they have for people to fill out is mostly "closed" and you can only fill out early in the morning, which goes against the NHS principle of treating patients during times that are convenient to them. This GP practice is not fit for purpose. The receptionists waste people's time with long-winded, repetitive explanations trying to make excuses and send patients on a run-around about conditions that should be treated urgently. There is no respect for the intelligence of the general public and no duty of care. The sign that they have on-site that they do not tolerate aggression is inappropriate since they are the ones employing an aggressive modus operandi towards the public. Refusing to deal with people reacting to your own aggression is abusive. I hope to see this practice closed and replaced by an honest and professional one that shows commitment to public health.
