Myself and my husband had a appointment today with the anp at the surgery. She was very sympathetic and understanding regarding my husbands health. Finally got some things put in place and was very thankful for all her help. The the appointment wasn't rushed and I want to give credit where its due. Great experience. Thankyou.

Review titled Terrible service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Christina jenkinson - Posted on 29 February 2024
Called today and asked if a doctor could call me back. Myself and my husband have both been ill. He's disabled. We both seem to have chest infections. All I wanted was some antibiotics for us both after speaking to a doctor but you can't get past the Receptionist. I Myself are not well enough to put my poorly husband in the car to visit the practice on Saturday. We have both been ill for over a week now. Chemist remedies have not worked. I was told ring 111 if I couldn't get to gp 🤔 so 111 will come to me will they. Appalling again

Dear Mrs Jenkinson , thank you for taking the time to post your review. You were requesting a telephone call for a chest infection. The protocol for query chest infections is that you need to be seen by a clinician, you have been offered an appointment for today and for Saturday. Antibiotics will not be issued without examination. It is not safe to review for chest infections over the telephone. I am sorry that you feel we have not been helpful. This is for patient safety. The reception team are following practice guidelines. Bina Tah Practice Manager

Completed online questionnaire to see if I needed jabs for going abroad, received a text to confirm I did. Contacted the surgery to book in. On the day the nurse was wonderful & gave excellent service. In & out in 15 minutes.

Review titled Upset and disgusted

Today I called the surgery as they ask at 8am. I was pleased to hear I was first in the queue. After my call was answered and I explained my symptoms, I asked for an appointment after 3:30pm due to work commitments. I was then told that I had an appointment booked at 4:10pm…perfect I thought! I attended the surgery for my appointment and was then told no such appointment had been booked and it was a telephone call appointment. I explained the above to which I was told my call/appointment was logged at 9:45am and they open at 8am. That was a blatant lie. And then told I had missed my calls, that is because I was at work as explained in my 8am phone call. And of course no appointments were now available, which has left me in pain even longer sitting at the walk in centre, putting unnecessary pressure on the urgent care services. I am absolutely appalled, even more so due to the lie. I will be requesting the telephone call recording and take this further.

Review titled Appalling patient service

You can never seem to get an appointment at this place. We are always asked to call at 8am, but when you eventually get through, the receptionist states she hasn’t got any appointments and we are asked to call back the next day. We seem to be in a never-ending loop at this surgery, with no idea of what appointments are available. They seem to neglect health and wellbeing and a “computer says no attitude”. The receptionists seem to think they are medically trained and start to offer alternatives to what is needed. I have no idea why they are not being held accountable with all these negative comments. I’m currently looking for an alternative GP practice for me and my family.

Dear Patient , thank you for taking the time to raise your concern. I am at a loss to understand why you are not able to get an appointment and why you have to wait so long on the phone . I carry out telephone audits monthly and can assure you that the longest average wait this week has been 20 minutes and that is only because I made an error when sending out text message to book for annual reviews , directing patients to the surgery. we offer more that 700 appointments a week which is above the allocated quota for our practice. If you wish to discuss this further please do not hessitate to contact me. Practice Manager
