About 8 weeks ago, l undertook a review for my condition. The results of such. Meant that l had to have scans, other tests and a referral to a Consultant. For which l have a follow up appointment. I would just like to thank, the clinicians and other personnel at Portsdown Group Practice. For their outright professionalism, dedication and outright patient care.

We arrived early and logged into the onscreen booking system. My name was called soon after. I asked if my Husband could sit in on the appointment too, and the Nurse was ok with that. I presented my Urine Sample, and answered fully the health questions required. My Blood Pressure was taken & my Pulse rate was also measured. I was weighed, and my Feet were examined thoroughly prior to the Pin -Prick sensory test. All was fine. I drew the nurse to my legs which have dry raised patches on the front on my Shins, and on the back of both legs just above both ankles. Nurse diagnosed Cellulitis. She made it plain that I could continue with elevating both legs, to keep the swelling down, But would need to regularly apply an moistering ointment to keep them supple. If at any time my legs become Hot or Very Red or start splitting or leaking, I am to contact the Surgery straight away to make an appointment for trearment, to avoid any infection. I agreed to monitor the condition as discussed. I thanked the Nurse for taking the time to explaining everything. I now await feedback from my Blood Test results, and advisory review on any potential Medication change in respect of my Type 2 Diabetes, Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, and Asthma if needed.

I'm surprised by both the fact you keep asking me to review and even when I haven't been to that surgery. It was crookhorn. Indeed does anyone see a doctor anymore or is it all telephone calls. I have read the online reviews and strangely enough the good ones are always related to an inoculation /jabs which are the money makers. The speed and urgency shown to sign you up for a jabsis the only professional service offered. Having travelled around the country a lot can anyone tell me why the GP systems in Portsmouth are so poor.

We are sorry that you have been unable to gain access when needed. We would advise that currently all areas of the health service have capacity issues and demand is often more than we can safely provide.

Excellent service I had an appointment for my blood test and it was very well planned. I ride a little bit early but I never waited very long. The nurse was very polite. The appointment was made online

The Healthcare Assistant was capable with the blood tests, giving the flu and tetanus injections. She tested the neuropathy but didn’t map the areas affected on the foot and gave general advice to be careful. When I told her about a lump in my buttock muscle she told me to book an appointment with the doctor.

I would like to assure you that part of the examination would have included a map of the areas affected and this would usually be saved on your record as part of the standard template during this type of appointment. The Healthcare assistant has advised you correctly to make a separate appointment appointment regarding your other issue, as this would need to be with the relevant qualified clinician.

The clinition was caring and interested in why I was late for my appointment, she was in agreement after your cancellation due to sickness my long wait for next appointment was too excessive
