A referral from Cranleigh medical had not been received by Royal Surrey Hospital. The investigated and went to a lot of trouble too get to the bottom of it. They advised me how to resolve which I was able to successfully do and the referral is now being dealt with as a matter of urgency

  3. Review titled Amazing caring practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Louise - Posted on 11 September 2024

I came to the practice feeling very unwell and almost passed out in with the GP. Within seconds other clinical members were in the room looking after me! Special thanks to Dr H and Dr M and the nurses who helped me stay calm and reassure me when I was feeling scared and very poorly. I jabs many health issues and am never made to feel a pain by any GP or nurse and we are lucky to have such an amazing practice in Cranleigh. Thank you again everyone

  5. Review titled Specific review - blood sample results

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by HRJ - Posted on 20 August 2024

A nurse took my blood on Tuesday 13th August. I could see the results via Patient Access the next day and received a text from my GP on Thursday 15th August to confirm that he had reviewed my results at which time he also recommended his considered course of action. I am truly amazed at the speed of this turnaround hence this review. However, my continuing opinion of the NHS in general is that it is ‘flaky’ and inconsistent (see specific example below). So well done on this occasion but be aware there’s lots if work to be done to improve patient perception of NHS services in general. My experience of a colonoscopy at the Royal Surrey Hospital in March 2022 and availability of well documented results was excellent. My son - who had a colonoscopy at St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey had a totally different experience at around the same time and previously when results were not forthcoming and, generally, the experience was truly appalling. He is, to my knowledge, still not in receipt of clear documented evidence of the result of multiple colonoscopies and investigations.

  6. Review titled Outstanding

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Roger Carter - Posted on 02 August 2024

Today I went into the surgery and discussed my problem with the receptionist who was absolutely amazing. She took all my details but had to check something with the staff behind the scenes. A few questions later and plenty of typing by the receptionist, we completed the conversation. She mentioned that the doctor would phone later in the day and within an hour and half Doctor was in contact- what a great experience talking to the doctor and he was extremely helpful. The receptionist deserves to be mentioned in a surgery meeting as she gives five star treatment. I have never experienced bad service when visiting/phoning the Cranleigh surgery and everyone is so helpful and kind. Once again thank you all for the outstanding service and dedication to the NHS

  8. Review titled First class care

I saw one of the nurses, as I was feeling unwell. She suspected sepsis and brought in one of the Gps and an ambulance was called. The combined care from the team was professional, empathetic and reassuring. They went above and beyond and I cannot praise Cranleigh Medical Centre highly enough.

  9. Review titled Avoid seeing the patients at all costs

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 July 2024

I had some gynea issues over a few years but after quick investigations was told they could not find anything despite not being able to explain the symptoms. Recently started experienced spotting and went again. Same urine test and scan and eventually agreed to refer to consultant 5 months later. Two weeks ago I started to bleed between my periods and was feeling fainted with very heavy flow to the point I had to come back from work. Called the GP, it took an hour to reach someone despite being one in the waiting queue. Spoke to receptionist explaining my concerns and fact I was not feeling well and wanted to be reviewed as my specialist appointment was weeks away. This was followed by a text message 3 hours later asking explained again which I did. Had a text back saying nothing else the primary care could do for me and good luck for my appointment. How can one diagnosed on text message? It would have taken the same time to speak to me, telling me what to keep an eye on or reassure me. I had to self medicate with over the counter iron painkillers without knowing what was happening. I then attended my consultant appointment and overheard her saying to the nurse that I had been left in so much pain for 7 years while all along this was cause by a reaction to my coil and this should have been sorted years ago. The standard has gone down with covid as an excuse for patient to be triaged by non medical staff and assuming patient are available to wait / chase etc. Unacceptable

Dear Patient, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We deeply regret that your recent encounters with our practice have not met your expectations and have caused you distress. Your feedback is very important to us, and we take your concerns seriously. We are very sorry to hear about the delays and difficulties you faced in getting the care you needed. It's clear that your situation required more immediate attention and support, and we apologise for the inconvenience and discomfort this has caused you. Your concerns about the communication process and the effectiveness of our follow-up procedures have been noted. We understand that being diagnosed and reassured via text message is not ideal, especially in urgent situations. We will review our protocols to ensure that patients receive the timely and compassionate care they deserve. Regarding your experience with the consultant, it is deeply concerning that you have been in pain for such a long time due to an issue that could have been addressed earlier. We will investigate this matter to understand what went wrong and how we can prevent similar situations in the future. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our services. If you would like to discuss your experience further, please do not hesitate to contact us directly using our feedback email syheartlandsicb.feedback.cranleighmp@nhs.net Sincerely, Cranleigh Medical Practice

  10. Review titled Good Experience

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 August 2024

I have seen the same GP twice in connection with two serious conditions. My experience with the GP on each occasion was very good, helpful and thorough. The conclusion was hospital treatment which in one case was well organised and efficient but in the other required going private. This was not Cranleigh medical practices fault.
