For years I have been dropping my prescriptions in the box outside the Kingsmead surgery. This time i thought I would try the email route. Sent email on the 2/10/2023 received a confirmation email from Danebridge on 4/10/2023 that the email had been received.Pharmacy2U then confirmed prescription had been dispatched on the 5/10/2023, many thanks

I just wanted to pass on my thanks to the secretary who I spoke to this morning. I'm aware of criticism towards Danebridge and think it is important to acknowledge when people go above and beyond to be helpful. I contacted the Secretary team regarding some medication I am currently taking. The secretary was extremely helpful and provided good advice. However, in addition to this, she took it upon herself to go and speak to a Doctor in the surgery to ensure my query was dealt with promptly. Within 5 mins, she called me back and had sorted out a new prescription. I collected it from my local pharmacy within a few hours. I'm extremely grateful for the way this matter was dealt with and wanted to thank the team (particularly the lady I dealt with) for sorting out my query so efficiently - and in a helpful and pleasant manner.

Review titled Never pick up the phone

While the doctors and nurses are lovely and helpful, it’s impossible to get through the reception. They never pick up the phone, usually signal is just busy or I’m informed I’m 15th in the queue and have to wait an hour. Online system doesn’t exists. It’s on the website but I’ve never seen it being available. Its a disgrace of NHS

I have for many years posted my repeat prescriptions. this has to be done monthly, I am not sure if this is national policy or local, the pharmacy at Danebridge didnt know. for some reason my prescription in August never went through although it was posted in good time. I had to visit the surgery return at 6pm to wait for an emergency prescription, pass this to a chemist that evening and return the next evening for the medication. I missed 3 days of medication. The next prescription I put in early possibly only 15 days after I had the last one because I was visiting the surgery. The policy is not to process the prescription until at least 21days so it wasnt processed until some time later however when signed by the Dr it did not go to the pharmacy for dispensation . I phoned on friday 29th sept to ask why the pharmacy had not got it they said they would process it that day. I spoke to the pharmacy on Tues 3rd Oct they still had not got the prescription on the electronic system. I had to phone the surgery again today for them to do it. my local pharmacy does not even stock most of my medication they forward it on to another branch which all takes days. My view would be that Danebridge should review their system they are processing , i was told, 600 a day. This must be quite a burden for the team but they need to establish what is best practice.

After an appointment with an audiologist yesterday 9 Aug 2023, I was advised to contact my GP surgery asap as I was diagnosed with a middle ear infection probably requiring antibiotics. I contacted the surgery and within an hour a doctor had called me back and after a series of questions agreed to prescribe the oral antibiotics and even sent the prescription immediately electronically to my preferred pharmacy. The pharmacy contacted me this morning to say my prescription was available for collection. My whole experience was simply brilliant - well done Danebridge for such outstanding & prompt action.

Rang today from abroad to try and get an evening appointment today or tomorrow for a condition which has now lasted over 10 days and which a pharmacist said required antibiotics. Got through after 30 minutes in their phone queue. Informed that they dont do evening appointments and dont make appointments for the next day, we just have to ring again tomorrow and hope we get an appointment. Can’t even turn up in person to make an appointment ( which would at least enable some kind of triage to get rid of time wasters ). At a loss to understand why getting an appointment is such a lottery.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your feedback regarding the appointments system, I am surprised that this is the response that you received, as we altered our appointment system in mid May 2023, where you are either booked a same day appointment or routine problems would be triaged by the Triage doctor and the most appropriate care/ appointment offered. So if you call the practice today this is how your call would be dealt with.
