    Tryng to get through to make an appointment got no hope. Trying to make an appointment once finally through got bob hope. I have been trying for six weeks to get an appointment. Due to the dire capacity myself and now my son have spent 10hrs waiting at walk in. This used to be an amazing surgery with lovely receptionist and on the day appointments. I will be moving doctors sadly.

    Rang 27 times from 8 o'clock to 8.30 to hear we are busy every time. Call into the doctors at 8.30 to be told go to the walk in centre . The receptionist wasn't interested in helping one bit. Sat in the walking center for 41/2 hours with a bad back and shoulder. I can't fault the walk in centre. Over work as doctors keep sending patients down there.

    Could not get an appointment, had an infection that needed treating, even went into surgery to show them but still wouldn't give me an appointment & was told to go to the walk in centre?? Spoke to the pharmacist next door to the practice who told me I needed antibiotics & to go back to receptionist & tell them what pharmacist had said, still wouldn't give me an appointment so ended up going a&e who were appalled at how I'd been treated & gave me antibiotics straight away, I am absolutely disgusted, this practice needs closing down, the receptionists attitude to patients is appalling, would they be the same if it were a member of there family that needed treatment?

    I have rung 38 times since 8.00 and everytime I stillunable to speak to an available receptionist. It is now 09.45. I don't think calling into the surgery is an option, will just get turned away and told to telephone surgery. Extremely annoying.

    I understand that during COVID, times were difficult but now we are out of the worst of it, the surgery doesn't seemed to have got back up to speed. I have been trying to speak to someone for medical advice regarding my son since 08:00 this morning, it is now 10:30 and I have only just got through to the queue (18:00 minutes on hold and only as far as queue position 8 at the time of writing this). If this was a same day appointment call, I wouldn't have been able to get one due to the time lapsing. We were moved to this practice as the one near us on Queens Bower Road closed, I wish they hadn't closed in all honesty. I am considering moving to another surgery. The service is appalling in my opinion, I would not recommend it to anyone.

  7. Review titled “Exceptional volume of calls”

    How can the number of calls be exceptional when you can never get through? It needs to say “once again we are inundated with calls because we can’t cope, you can keep trying but you probably won’t get through” I have been trying daily for weeks for an appointment for my 5yo and I am yet to even get in a queue. Yesterday I went to the practice in person only to be rudely addressed and told to come back again because there was nothing next week. This is beyond ridiculous. Where are we supposed to go? What are we supposed to do? They haven’t updated their practices for 30 years. What business do you know of where you can’t book online? These antiquated methods need to change. Absolutely disgusting.

  8. Review titled Poor access to GP services

    I attempted to contact my GP surgery to get an urgent medical appointment for my daughter. I called over 30 times between 8:00 am and 10:00 am but received a recorded message each time about what to do in an emergency and then was hung up. I finally got connected to a queue and the phone was answered after 1 hour 20 minutes. I was informed there were no GP appointments available and I should go to the urgent care centre. My daughter is feeling very poorly and needs antibiotics for a repeated infection- she does not need to go to an urgent care centre- in fact, that is likely to make her condition worse. In my experience this seems to be the normal level of functioning now at GP surgeries that are unable to cope with the demand. I wanted to log my experience today of being unable to access the health service my daughter needs.

    I had few times bad experiences with this practice and i never put bad review but this time i will because I am a patient 4 years there and i think is the time me and my family to change GP. The waiting lists are so long and so stressful i am always number 10 in the que and the line just going down before I speak with someone and then i need to call again. I spend always 45 minutes minimum to speak with the receptionist that they think they are doctors asking so many questions why you want to book appointment that make you feel uncomfortable. I had my blood tests a week ago I spoke with the receptionist 3 times and they messing around with me they told me the blood results are back and today I called again they said the blood test are not back and i need to call tomorrow again. Also I need to mention that they missed a blood form for my partner referral that was extremely urgent and we still waiting after a week the GP to referral him again for the blood test that they missed. So if you have alternative GP avoid Daybrook Practice
