Needed an appointment to have a lump in my breast reviewed. Initially was quite apprehensive about the new online triage form system but it worked very well for me. I was seen the same day but a knowledgeable, professional doctor. A referral has since been made to the breast clinic and I await that appointment. I have always had a positive and pleasant experience in De Beauvoir practice and would recommend.

Vital stats checked - pressure, throat, ears, balance checked. I was asked relevant questions and felt he was interested in getting to the root cause of the problem. He also ordered me blood tests so should know within a week if any other issues.

Everything was great from the beginning. I had a query sent on the surgery's website. I got a text in the morning to confirm I would get a call from a pharmacist. I got the call around the time stated, the result was that I needed to come in for some tests. I ended up coming in the same day. There was an incident with the nurse and another patient in the waiting room, which the nurse handled professionally. I was next and the nurse (Called Asia) was amazing and just so good humoured, despite being slightly rattled from before. There are some amazing people working for the NHS and Asia is one of them!

The first time I went there, I couldn’t get the screening done because of the period. The nurse explained why as well as how it will be done next time, since I had not done a cervical screening before. The following week I attended the second appointment. The nurse was patient and respected my privacy, while giving clear information about what was going to happen and how it might feel, so that I wasn’t caught in unexpected situations. The sample collection didn’t succeed the first try but the nurse acted professionally. It was done eventually after 2-3 tries. The only thing that caused unnecessary uncomfortable feeling was the equipment used to open up vagina. I did not see which part of it caused a scratchy feeling, but it would be good if that gets fixed. Otherwise the overall experience was nice and positive. The nurse also let me know how long it would take for the result to come out and in what way I would receive it. I got all information I needed about this test.

I had the best experience at the surgery this week that I have experienced since being a patient (since 2014). The nurse was kind and understanding. She made me feel comfortable and didn’t rush so that I could feel good through out.
