Attended my annual MOT for blood pressure, weight, height and blood tests taken. Very nervous of needles but nurse was very reassuring and patient making the experience stress free. Shows empathy and kindness and was very grateful for the support.

Review titled Great gp practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Recently had to see the GP about a skin problem. Great treatment from start to finish, my concerns were listened to, a good treatment plan provided which was then followed up to make sure things had improved. Staff were professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

Review titled Efficiency Of Care
Rated 5 stars out of 5

A reception staff member listened carefully regarding my health issue and advised me accordingly of the action she would take. My health concern was swiftly passed on to a clinician and the receptionist rang me back soon after. I was offered an appointment to attend the surgery that same day. Thank you.

My health concern has been dealt with in a short space of time. A staff member took time to listen to me and was most informative, covering all aspects of my health problem and carefully explaining next steps. I appreciated how the staff member helped me feel at ease.

The docs and nurses here are faultless. Always on hand to give the best advice and manage to get an appointment same day and if not within a few days

Review titled Terrible time keeping
Rated 1 star out of 5

My 7 year old daughter waited 40 minutes over her appointment time. To then be told at the reception that it’s going to be quite a while longer. At 4.10 apparently the gp still only had there 3.05 patient in! I also find the reception staff rude.

We are sorry you had to wait past your appointment time with your daughter. Unfortunately, and very occasionally, the clinicians previous appointments can run over due to patients with urgent or complex needs which require more time to safely manage them. I, believe our reception staff informed you that this was the case when you asked and once again I am sorry if you construed this as being rude.

Review titled Service provided has gone downhill
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Kevin Taylor - Posted on 11 July 2024
Me and my wife called in yesterday to be told they can't help us and we had to do an econsult. No one in reception as if closed, shocking. Done an econsult, told be auto email that would have a call before 6.30pm today. No call! Glad we aren't in urgent need.

Thank you for your feedback. Ellison View surgery is a total triage practice which means we use online E-consults and telephone E-consults. This reduces the footfall into the practice, we have clear signage and a bell at the front desk if there is a need to speak to a member of staff. All E-consults go directly to a clinician and are triaged as they come in. If a problem has been assessed as routine then it can be moved to the next day for contact, depending on capacity & demand. We will endeavour in future to let patients know if contact is to be different to what was shown on your response.

For patient safety, going to A&E was an appropriate request, given the symptoms and recent removal of catheter an urgent bladder scan was necessary which is only done in secondary care.
