    i saw my doctor on the 18th of june doctor lewis she had a lot of time to listern to my issuses & she as sorted me out a top doc

    On line prescription requests can only be completed between 10.30 and 14.00 which is no good for workers. Tried to call after this time and currently been waiting 55 minutes and have gone from caller 5 to caller 3. Unable to e-mail practice as they stop accepting them after 2pm and instead try to direct you to 111. Absolutely ridiculous

Please allow me to reply with the correct information for your future reference: 1) Online prescription requests are available form 7am-2pm Monday-Friday. 2) We do not take medication requested over the telephone. 3) The practice email is open 24hrs a day, however we do not take prescription requests via email due to patient safety concerns. You may wish to download the NHS app available from the app store, this allows you to order medication throughout the day.     I have been at this practice since birth, 59 years. Since Covid you cannot get an appointment, when I try to get one I am dismissed and told to phone back next week. New reception staff have tried to say I don't live in the catchment area as I have recently moved house ( been in this house for 19 years) she was too busy typing this up on my notes than listening to me telling her important clinical information, maybe look at how offhand you treat your patients, how you make them feel, your staff do not know what is going on in our lives so maybe they should consider this. I still need an appointment but dread phoning up now.

    My family is registered with Feldon Lane, and I am moved to express how great I find them as a practice. Every reception staff and professional who works there is approachable and friendly. I find that when we use the online form they respond quickly and offer face to face appointments if they are indicated. I recently contacted them at 7am regarding my son, and by 8.45 we were seeing the GP registrar who is was brilliant.

    I contacted the practice yesterday as I was concerned about my 2 young children who were both unwell with high temperatures. We were seen the same day by the nurse practitioner and also contacted and seen by the GP. Both were very kind, efficient and great with our kids. The receptionists were also very friendly. We are very grateful. Thank you all!

    This morning I requested an appointment online and early afternoon we were seeing the doctor. He was incredible! I had not seen him before, but he was friendly and approachable. He didnt make us feel rushed and spent time asking questions, offering sources of help and support and above all was honest with us. I had not seen this doctor before as he is new to the practice, but i will definitely ask to see him again thank you!

    As with some other online reviews I can't believe these negative comments are about the same practice I'm registered with! I transferred to this practice in April 2024 & have never regretted it. I have had great service from all the staff. I've had the most dealings with the receptionists who have always been pleasant, & patient, especially when explaining the systems & procedures which are so different in such a positive helpful way to my previous practice. I've only experienced satisfied patients when I've been in the surgery.i didn't realise it was possible to put reviews on so perhaps the other happy satisfied patients dont either.

    I have only ever received excellent care from this Practice, all the Receptionists have always been very polite and helpful to the best of there ability, as I understand that they to have policies to follow and I personally would not want there job as it is to difficult to please every one, So well done to all you wonderful receptionists. :) The Dr's have always listened attentively, been empathetic and shown me respect when visiting them at the surgery or when speaking to me on the telephone, they have always given me the level of care that I expect. Overall I feel that Dr's surgeries in general are getting a lot of back lash from patients for not giving in to patients demands and when it doesn't go there way, they resort to leaving a negative review (Unfair) if only more people left good reviews when receiving a good service but it unfortunately seems that people only jump to leaving reviews when they feel that they have received a negative experience which I feel is wrong. I have witnessed personally the reception staff being verbally abused, Insulted or just being spoken to in such a rude manner, I feel that this is not acceptable, no matter what there reasons may be. Overall I find all of the staff at Feldon Lane & at Hawne Lane Surgeries all amazing, your all doing a fab job so Thankyou. :)

  9. Review titled Changes need to be made

    I was on the phone for 40 minutes, only to be told at 8:40am that only emergency appointments were being made. My condition was not serious, but extremely debilitating and painful. The telephone message needs to be updated to let people know the situation so that there is no false hope and you're not waiting on the line for 40 minutes. At the moment the practice is not beneficial for working patients. It's not practical to phone up at 8am and spend minutes on the phone. You can't expect to keep your phone with you all morning or afternoon waiting for a call back whilst at your place of work. This is not always practical. We need to be able to phone up and make an appointment like in pre Covid days. At the moment you are offered an appointment for 3 or more weeks in the future. 'Who knows what condition you might be in then?' I understand some issues are in the process of being addressed, but this needs to happen sooner. This needs to be a practice for all. I feel at the moment it isn't.

    I had a doctor ring me back very quickly after phoning for an appointment. Sent a prescription through straight away, very good. Asked me to leave a faeces sample if possible at the doctors surgery on the Friday or Monday. I went on Friday afternoon with a sample. Made to look stupid as being asked constantly which container I had been given? Even though I explained it was a telephone appointment, how can he give me a container! Was then told too late anyway, has to be before 12. Doctor obviously didn't know this. Very upsetting being talked down to, not feeling well and having to walk to the surgery.

I am pleased you received a prompt telephone appointment, however, I am sorry to read that the service you received from Reception regarding the sample Doctor had requested was below standard. This is clearly an area of learning for the GP you dealt with on this occasion and also reception.
