  2. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended the practice today to see if I could get an emergency appointment due to an infected insect bite. The receptionist explained that there were no further appointments left but she could refer me to the pharmacist for a consultation. She provided me with all the necessary contact details. I phoned the pharmacy to arrange a time and my details had already been sent over. She was extremely helpful and pleasant and explained everything in a clear and precise manner. Also made a joke about the bite which I found extremely funny. I was prescribed antibiotics by the pharmacist. Unfortunately I did not get her name I would like to thank her. I came in this morning just before 9am can’t remember the actual time. The receptionist was wearing a black polo, petite and has dimples. Thank you for the great service you provided me today!

  3. Review titled Friendly and helpful

Rated 3 stars out of 5

My experience recently has been very good. Doctors showing their care going a mile extra to see if we are ok. Shame I came mention names here of particular staff as it doesn’t let me. Reception staff are very helpful and friendly. A guy I spoke to on a Wednesday morning and he went an extra mile with a request very helpful and cheerful need more like him.

  4. Review titled Poor Practice

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Before Covid, this was the best practice, since Covid started and the doctors saw less and less of the patients (not sure why as the doctors in the hospitals managed). Once the pandemic had cleared, the practice still doesn't see anyone face to face when you are ill. I have struggled to get a face to face appointment with doctors to consult when I am unwell, they either want you to email, write, or consult over the phone. They leave it up to the receptionist to make a decision whether to give you an appointment. Are the receptionists clinicians that they are able to make these decisions. At least in the hospital there is a nurse who decides whom you see. Now that the practice has amalgamated it's worse! Yesterday I get a text message to make a telephone appointment to discuss my blood test results with the doctor, I phoned to make an appointment, there was a long que so I pressed the automated call back and waited for a call. Did not receive one and the surgery closed. I waited this morning for a call, none came. I Phoned again, the receptionist read my results and the message sent to me then said as it is isn't urgent we don't have an appointment until next week. I said I would be abroad. The receptionist said " I am not a clinician but as your results were not all what they should be, but this is a non-urgent appointment, can you make an appointment when you come back?". I said this is not good enough as I will be worrying what the results were. but the receptionist was adamant. Sigh!

  5. Review titled Lazy reception staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 October 2024

I am so angry with the service provided! They are good for nothing useless people that do absolutely nothing to help you. There are so many people at reception yet it takes so long to be served. Came into the surgery late afternoon after I had finished work the receptionists are sitting and chatting away you would assume they would stop, not the case once they finished their conversation I was then acknowledged. Not one of them could help with my query either was told that they were all new here and that they didn’t know. I asked if she can go ask someone and let me know instead I was told to call tomorrow morning and speak to a staff member who has worked here for a longer time they will know. I don’t understand why she couldn’t find out for me and get back to me instead of me calling or coming back tomorrow. I felt they were rushing me so they could go back to what they were doing, just getting paid to sit around and do nothing. Appalling service!

  6. Review titled A telephone appointment

    by plusfb44 - Posted on 23 January 2024

After 10 days feeling unwell I used the online booking service at the Gadhvi practice to make an appointment. The earliest available was 10 days later. It was a telephone appointment (not my preference). I waited for over an hour for the GP to ring - no call. Eventually my phone rang 90 minutes after the appointment time when I was back at work. No message was left, no apology. I feel angry and as if my health is unimportant. I have been a patient at this practice for 30 years but am considering moving. I know the NHS is in dire circumstances. Last year I did see a GP at the practice who referred me to the Homerton Hospital for tests in July. I received a letter from the Homerton saying that if I had not received an appointment by November I could phone. Today's experience confirms for me that I cannot rely on getting medical help.

It’s not very easy to find my veins, but the nurse was very patient and professional, which means this was accomplished with no discomfort at all

  9. Review titled No communication provided

    by woodpigeonxs74 - Posted on 03 November 2023

I arrive at the practice for a blood test 45 min before my appointment. Only then to be told that it wasn’t possible as the systems were down. There was no communication provided by the practice that this had happened and that I should just rearrange. A generic txt would have been sufficient to all patients to advise of what was happening, would have avoided me taking time off of work to make this appointment.

Dear Service User, Unfortunately on the morning in question the provide of our Wi-Fi service had a major issue and we were unable to access our IT System. The practice was not given any notice that this was going to happen, when staff arrived that morning the IT system was working but due to unforeseen circumstances there was a failure. This is why patients were not called before hand. This IT issue mainly affected the HCA as she needs to know what blood test patients are having before the procedure can be done and all that information is on the IT System. We did inform patients that had blood test booked, that they could re- book or await a phone call from the practice to tell them to come back to surgery when the IT system would be up and running. The down time was about an hour and the practice apologies for any inconvenience that this caused. I hope you was able to get your blood test done on a alternative day. Homerton Hospital provide a hub service for blood test appointments Using the following link: https://www.swiftqueue.co.uk/homerton.php. There is a limited walk-in service, and we cannot guarantee that you will be seen if you do not have an appointment. If you are not able to book online, please call 07342068763 (Mon -Fri 8am-5pm) to book an appointment by speaking to a member of staff or leaving a message.

  10. Review titled Blood test and Asthma check

by Absbab - Posted on 20 October 2023

I saw the nurse, she was great. Very welcoming and friendly. She put me at ease as I hate needles. She explained everything to me and the importance of taking my inhaler. She was also very good with the blood test, hardly felt a thing
