  1. Review titled Amazing aervice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Lesley Matthews - Posted on 04 December 2023

We have always had a wonderful service from sutton pk surgery. But we had to attend four oaks for my husband to have his medication checked. Upon meeting the pharmacist she became concerned about my husbands health and said we needed an ambulance. She sent for another doctor who insisted we got an ambulance even though my husband didn't agree. The paramedics who arrived said we needed to get to good hope immediately. We arrived there to be told my husband was in heart Failure. He was stabilised and within 2days was fitted with a new type of pacemaker. I can only thank four oaks med. Centre because their actions obviously helped to save my husbands life.

  4. Review titled Practice makes perfect

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Peter Webb - Posted on 08 August 2023

There are a great team of District Nurses associated with this Practice. Telephoning for an appointment is still a real challenge When you do triage is still de rigeuer . Hopefully one day we will see the return of traditional face to face consultations

  5. Review titled Not great

How on earth do I get my prescription? I used to do it through the surgery, then a couple of months ago had to do it through the NHS app. Trying today it will not let me get my repeat prescription anywhere I have tried NHS app is now telling me to do it through the surgery but won’t let me do that either So how do I get my repeat Since having to change my doctors because they closed the old one down it’s been a nightmare to get any appointments or any kind of assistants Is it because we are fromupthere as we were referred to at the time of having to change doctors We are sorely tested in every way and since covidit’s been worse Everyone else in the country has “gone back to work “ Why haven’t our doctors

  6. Review titled Amazing Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The service and care provided by Four Oaks Medical Centre is excellent. I have received great continuity with care, follow ups booked with the same gp and at each appointment I’ve been treated as an individual rather than simply a number. The appointments have never felt rushed. When required the gp has text information that is useful and booked follow up appointments personally. I leave the each appointment feeling reassured where all matters are explained fully in an understandable manner and any decisions are made in collaboration. The reception team are always friendly and super helpful. Recently a member of the team went out of their way to chase correspondence and a prescription relating to a hospital referral. I was updated regarding the positive outcome immediately and informed to make contact should I need further assistance. I have never had to wait excessively long to get through via the telephone and assistance and advice regarding appointments has always been clear and accommodating. Initial telephone appointments with a gp appears to be an incredibly efficient service, in my experience, should a face to face appointment be required, I have always been offered one. On one occasion a gp made themself available for whatever time I was able to arrive back to Four Oaks and on another occasion a gp created an early morning appointment for myself. I am incredibly grateful for the care and service I have and continue to receive.

  8. Review titled Great in the past - but almost impossible to get appointment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 May 2023

Call length of 35 mins to be informed no bookable appointments. Non urgent issue and, as with most working people, not realistic tot turn up to surgery every day in hope of appointment. The lady I spoke to was polite.

  9. Review titled Impossible to get a GP appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 May 2023

Online appointments are non existent and you can't get through the phone system. If you are lucky you could speak with someone to tell you there are no more appointments. I'm wondering if there are any GPs working at this practice anymore. The waiting room is empty, no pacients. Not sure if they are in business or they keep opened to get the money from the public funds. When I needed to speak with a doctor I had to go private via the phone app.

Dear Patient I apologise you were unable to book an online appointment in January 2023. We continue to review the number of online appointments, especially during seasonal outbreaks e.g. winter respiratory outbreaks. New access routes coming this year include an online triage service which will support online appointments and ensure patients are directed to the most appropriate healthcare professional e.g. First contact physiotherapist, ANP (advanced nurse practitioner), Clinical pharmacist, GP, Nurse, HCA. etc We will share latest information via our new website:www.suttoncoldfieldgp.co.uk Kind regards Maxine Rowley Service Delivery Manager

  10. Review titled Appalling practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

It is impossible to get an appointment to see your local GP in this surgery Up to an hour's phone call before someone picks up When they do you have to wait for the doctor to call you back for them to tell you they can't give you an appointment you have to argue an insist that you need to see a doctor to the receptionist on the phone Who is not particularly helpful Something really needs to be done about this surgery it's always been difficult to get an appointmeit before covid So sick of listening to the excuse it's because of covid we couldn't get appointments before covid existed
