I just went through a very bad OCD flare up that was being triggered by very bad perimenopausal symptoms. I had a couple of trips to Francis grove in July to get myself sorted and I felt very safe and supported . I felt listened to and cared for . Ultimately I got the right treatment and now I’m so much better. Because of my anxiety and sleep issues I needed some medication to get me over that acute stage and I also saw the psychiatrist for the OCD Side and so the combination of starting HRT has completely settled my Symptoms . dr (A) was very compassionate re my OCD and anxiety and had no judgment. Dr (B) when I returned regarding the perimenopausal symptoms was so empathetic and very understanding so I was in the best hands . I can’t thank Francis grove enough. I’ve always gotten the best care for my children who are now 13 and 9 since they were born. Such a wonderful surgery. Dr (C) also has been a fantastic doctor as he mainly saw the boys growing up for their normal childhood ailments etc.

Although very busy I find most of the staff friendly and efficient. I had an excellent experience with a nurse recently, when I was having issues with a blocked ear.

Feeling ill and in considerable pain I contacted the surgery. The receptionist was extremely helpful and gave me an early appointment. The doctor carefully took down my history, which included two consecutive days in A and E. Her considerable experience and good judgement enabled her to came up with a good plan to find out what was wrong with me. Given the uncertainties with medical diagnosis and treatment it is very good to know one can rely on the excellence of the Francis Grove surgery.

The appointment was easily made. The appointment was late due to the doctor spending more time with those needing more treatments. The doctor was very efficient and understanding an I felt reassured after my visit.

The Dr’s I’ve seen have been very thorough and I cannot fault them. Telephone contact was good. Advised me to follow up in 3 mths to check.

I called the GP at 8 o'clock in order to book day appointment. They accepted my call 8:06 and said that there was only one slot available before 4:30pm. This is ridiculous. She did not ask my symptom as well. Very poor.

Dear patient, I'm sorry to hear that this was your experience. Unfortunately demand outstrips capacity more often than we would like. We are constricted not only financially but also in terms of room availability. We are hoping to expand so we can offer patients more services in the new year. I am also sorry the receptionists did not ask what the problem was as she should have, this is part of their and supports their decision making in terms of appointments they can offer patients, on the day, urgent duty dr issues, things that can wait until the weekend when we have available appointments for example. If the issue is not urgent, you can use the contact us online function on our website which gets reviewed and you will either be sent a link for you to directly book an appointment or a GP will ask for you to be called in. I am extremely happy with my GP. The receptionists are very helpful and my doctor was exceptional. She is a great professional, caring and patient. I had a thorough check up, relevant to my symptoms and problem and she informed me of the complete treatment plan.

All the staff at Francis Grove Surgery have been so supportive in helping me maintain my health. Each that I have met has a positive attitude from appointments that fit within my schedule to fitting me in as and when needed.
