My nurse is a great straight talking expert. I was given clear achievable instructions, which I followed. And met my goals! Now onto the next set!

Review titled Thumbs up
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I’ve been a type 1 diabetic for over 20 years and have always had disapproval from doctors about my neglect towards attending to it regularly. Here is the first anp/dsn to change that because of her personal approach and genuine excitement and interest in her patients and the passion for the subject. I have been attending to my diabetes more attentively since my appointments have started with her, so writing this review is one of the ways I can say thanks and show my gratitude. Thanks!!! Michael

Review titled New booking system with only option being "self help"
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 04 December 2024
The service got worse and worse, and after a recent conversation with a box ticking agent (alleged nurse) who refused to book me an in person appointment with a doctor, the app has now switched to a new booking system where "self help" is the only option. Stay well clear of GP at Hand. Nobody is going to help you.

Thank you for your comments. Our new booking system is currently open 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, whilst we switch across to the new system. We plan to return to 24/7 booking in a week or so once this process is complete. Thank you for your understanding. Outside of these times, you can call 111 if you have an urgent problem.

The nurse I talked to was really nice, she was honest and direct but still remain kind. I am pretty apprehensive talking to medical professionals but she put me at ease and I think with her help I can manage my condition

I went for my daughter’s flu vaccination and had a very positive feeling. The practitioner was very welcoming and put my daughter at ease and made her experience pain free. We loved the positive energy she had and made us feel so comfortable. Highly recommend. Thanks.

Review titled Great Consultation
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had a fantastic experience with Dr from GP at hand. She was incredibly helpful and empathetic, taking the time to truly listen and understand my concerns. Her professionalism and approachable demeanor made me feel completely comfortable discussing my medical condition. I felt genuinely cared for, and her explanations were clear and reassuring. I couldn’t have asked for better care—highly recommended!

Review titled Used to be exceptional
Rated 2 stars out of 5

What was Babylon has sadly gone down hill since it became eMed. When I tried to book an appointment there were non available and when a physician suggests you should see a person in Person, no appointments available not even longer than 2 weeks out. Why is this? How is it the NHS can find arranging appointments so difficult?

Thanks for your comments. We are in the process of transitioning our service to a much easier way to book, as you will have read in the emails we have been sending for the past few weeks. This is due to go live in the next few days, so we hope that you will find this helpful. In the meantime, we are releasing hundreds of appointments on a daily basis as we approach the switchover, so please do keep looking or contact our team for assistance.

Review titled Avoid
Rated 1 star out of 5

I switched to GP at Hand recently after reading some recommendations online. Unfortunately those recommendations turned out to be out of date. At the moment, the app is practically unusable: - I booked a GP appointment in the earliest possible slot -- two weeks away from time of booking. - After checking in 10 minutes in advance as instructed, the GP never showed up, even after keeping the call open for a few hours. - There was no follow-up, and it's impossible to cancel the appointment since the app claims the GP joined the call. (In fact the call is still open in the app almost a week later!) I've tried re-booking, but it now looks like no GP appointments are available on any day at all -- even in January 2025, which is as far ahead as the app allows you to search. The app, and the responses to reviews here, indicate that new slots should open every day, but I've tried looking on a few different days without success. In my case, I hadn't previously been to a GP for almost 10 years. This would pose much more serious problems for people who need to visit a GP more regularly. Since it seems like more and more regular GPs are moving to online booking systems anyway it's best to avoid GP at Hand, at least until eMed can sort themselves out.

Thanks for your review. I am sorry that there was a problem during your appointment. We would be very happy to look into what happened, and address any issues that prevented this going ahead, if you would be kind enough to let us know your details. We continue to release a large number of appointments on the day for urgent needs, and will soon be switching to a new appointment booking system that will make this process much easier. I hope this will improve your experience in future.

Review titled Used to be great now terrible
Rated 1 star out of 5
by David - Posted on 03 November 2024
I used to love this service, I recommended it to loads of people over the past few years but now it's completely unusable. I tried to book an appointment last week but was unable to find any appointment with a GP (even at night) until the 26th of November (27 days after the time of booking) ... who can wait 26 days when they're unwell? It's useless and I'll have no choice but to leave or go private.

Thank you for your review. We open a large number of on the day appointments every day, so please do check again. Out of hours, you still only see our routine availability. If you have a more urgent need and cannot find anything to book, please give us a call. In the coming weeks, we hope to roll out a much improved booking system that will allow more effective identification of routine and urgent need. I hope this will improve your experience.
