  2. Review titled Caring & Efficient Nursing Staff and Receptionists

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Sue Torode - Posted on 18 July 2024

Following a knee replacement on 22nd June, I was referred to my GP Practice for after care. The nurses gave first class care and nothing was too much trouble. The Reception staff are very efficient and pleasant and recently accommodated me when I attended the surgery to find that my appointment had been cancelled by mistake. They asked if the nurse could fit me in and she did. Everything has gone smoothly with my recovery thanks to their care and help. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you all.

  4. Review titled Bad NHS system

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Moric Istvan Domjan - Posted on 19 January 2024

There was no problem with the doctor, the doctor sent me for another test because of the suspected cancer! only one thing was wrong, the doctor didn't tell me to call another health service on the NHS to make an appointment for the next test! ! The problem is with the NHS system! why do I have to call another service when I have a serious health problem, why is it not possible for the GP to refer patients straight away to the next test when an appointment is needed immediately and finally why I couldn't get an urgent appointment when on average £3000-3500 a year National Insurance i pay and have never been sick in the 9 years i have lived in the uk! I would like to know where these amounts are? And by the way, I've been waiting for the urgent appointment since the 14th of December 2023! But you know a day's delay is too much when you're dealing with a serious health issues like my suspected cancer!

Dear Moric Istvan Domjan, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you feel dissatisfied with the service you received at the surgery. I would like to reassure you that the Doctors and staff strive to provide the highest quality healthcare for patients. GP surgeries are a separate entity to any hospitals as hospital have their own booking systems and structure. GP services are the first point of contact for patients with non emergency concerns, they provide primary healthcare and refer to specialist hospital doctors when needed. Once a GP has referred a patient to a specialist, it is the duty of the hospital to then appoint patients after being triaged. Many thanks Assistant Practice Manager

  5. Review titled Superb

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by C Saunders - Posted on 29 December 2023

I can't even express how great they are. They've literally saved my life (I've a lot of problems). My gratitude towards all the individuals working there is immense. Professional, caring, knowledgeable are but just a few things I can say. It's also very handy to have the pharmacy there too, who which I can say refers to the above also. Lovely people through and through.

  6. Review titled Very straightforward experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Emma - Posted on 09 October 2023

Just had the most straightforward experience with this practice. Called at 8.30am due to a UTI, call back from the nicest GP at 9.30 and a prescription is ready to be collected. Am so thankful as I know how quickly they can deteriorate

  7. Review titled Impossible to speak with anyone

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Liam - Posted on 06 June 2023

Following an e-consultation (after only 2weeks!), the GP told me to phone the practice and book an appointment with the HCA. When I called at 11.15 I was number 10 in the cue, so opted for a call back (this would keep my place in the cue), after an hour I called from a different number and was number 4 in the cue so decided to wait, after 20 minutes I was answered, I explained I needed to book an appointment with the HCA, to be told I’d have to wait another week (after answering more questions as to why I need an appointment!). I asked to speak with the practice manger, what a surprise they wasn’t answering their phone. This practice needs a total shake up. I dare say this with get the usual copy and paste reply about how sorry they are and to call and speak with someone (if only that were possible).

  8. Review titled Why question if my details have changed when they haven’t!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 April 2023

Today I received a letter from GMC saying they think my details are incorrect (address and phone number). I do not understand this, given that the letter came to my address where I have lived for over twenty years and my phone number has not changed. GMC then threatens to remove me from their patient list if I don’t contact them within a month. I’m on the phone to them now resigned to a long wait. This is the most useless GP practice I have ever used. I would like to move but there are no options in my area so I am forced to put up with this shoddy so-called service. No wonder those who can afford to are using private GPs instead.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. The letter you received is sent to patients that may not have had any contact with the surgery for some time or not responded to our invites/letters. We also receive notice from outside agencies such as Hospitals and other clinics informing us that patients have changed their address or not attended appointments so we write to these patients to ascertain the correct information. This letter is designed to keep our practice list as up to date as possible so that we can correspond correctly with our patients. Further to your comments, if you have made the surgery aware that you have received this letter and are in fact still at the address on your records, and your contact details are up to date, this will be noted on your records and nothing further is required. If you wish to discuss this further, please contact me at the Surgery Elaine - Assistant Practice Manager

  9. Review titled Very bad service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Emirjan Xhari - Posted on 14 March 2023

Hi, every time I call this GP the staff have Attitude and are not helpful and when I say I will change GP they almost laugh and say that your choice, never do they say sorry or ask if they can help with anything. The Doctor when I last took my son there Was not helpful and said that my kid needs to grow and when three years old they can do something and only when I insisted she referred me to Pediatrician.

  10. Review titled Pregnant and need to speak to GP but to no avail

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 February 2023

Booked an appointment last week, for today Monday and expecting a phone call. It’s 2pm and yet no one has called, I reached out for my phone to call the surgery only to realise their phone line isn’t going through. I have tried several times and still same thing. No communication to patients about their lines being bad and when patients who have booked a phone appointment will be contacted.

Dear patient, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you feel dissatisfied with the surgery telephone system. Occasionally the phones can encounter a blip due to the amount of calls being managed but it doesn’t usually effect the function of the service, if it does, we ask the telephone company to add a message onto the phone lines advising anyone that calls of the fault. On the day in question, there was no reported fault and we were still receiving and making calls as usual. Unfortunately I cannot check your records to see if you received your phone call from a GP as do not have your details but if you wish to discuss this matter further please contact me at the surgery. Elaine Lovelock, Assistant Practice Manager.
