  1. Review titled Helped me out on a really bad day

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Aimee - Posted on 29 February 2024

Spoke to a GP today, having phoned at 8am and spoken to a lovely receptionist to arrange a call back which happened the same day, and he was very thorough and attentive. He listened to me and put a real plan of action in place. My pain was particularly bad today, which was very stressful, but he made a plan to tweak some meds and get in touch with my specialist team. Every single member of staff I came in to contact with today was polite, kind and patient with me. I did need some reassurance from the receptionists that I hadn’t missed the GP’s call, as I have an issue with my phone whereby I don’t always get notified of incoming calls until the person on the other end leaves a voicemail. I digress. In summary, they made a very difficult day just a little bit easier.

  2. Review titled Impossible to get an appointment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 31 January 2024

If you do manage to get an appointment you're likely to receive a good service, how ever getting one is nearly impossible. You'll be on hold for 90 minutes from 8am sharp and when they finally answer they tell you they have no more appointments for the day and you either call next day or go to hospital. Next day same is likely to happen and you could go on days without being able to get an appointment. Sometimes the appointment is just the doctor calling back and telling you to send him a picture, then he sends you antibiotics without actually seeing the doctor, I guess this is fine-ish for an adult but for my 1 year old daughter. Pretty sad

  3. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Emily - Posted on 17 January 2024

I have had the use the surgery’s services a couple of times recently and have done this via the online enquiry form. In both instances, I have had a prompt and helpful response, in one instance my prescription was sent straight to the pharmacy for me. I am very pleased with the level of service I have received and felt as though I was treated with kindness and patience when being given advice over the phone. I would highly recommend the surgery to anyone.

I made a call to see a doctor in december, regarding a pain in my left breast.the reception was lovely and very professional, the doctor rang me straight back asking if i could come Inow explained thatI was in northampton to which I was advised to still come. I was running late due to traffic and rang to explain the reception once again said don't worry get here when you can. Long story short I was examined by the doctor who said that he could feel something and not worry as he was referring me to kettering breast clinic. my appointment came though for the 9th january, I went along to which the doctor examined me again uo which she said that it was a pulled muscle, however while I was there she gave me a monogram to ehicha 5mm cancer was found. it removed and a margin around and 2 lymph nodes all are clear just a small amount of radiotherapy and 5 years of tablets the points I would like to get across is how professional all tgat was involved it mh treatment and cate and all should be very proud of the dedication in there job you all do. my thanks go from the appointment line to the receptionist the chaperone, the doctor all at Kettering general, the after care both at Oakley and the hospital you all been great and lovely people. there is definitely no I in your team Thank you for caring. 6. Review titled Amazing clinical Staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Chloe - Posted on 26 October 2023

I went into the surgery yesterday to have an injection, and I met with a nurse. I was made to feel very comfortable, and sensitive subjects were approached with the kindness they deserve. The nurse had empathy and compassion, and really went out of her way to help me. The nurse is an asset to the practice and to the NHS.

  7. Review titled rude and unhelpful reception

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 October 2023

On trying to register I was bluntly and quite rudely told "we're full and can't take new patients" despite the website saying they were accepting new patients. So I went back later and demanded to see the practice manager - miraculously a space had "opened up" and I was able to register. I can't get through on the phone to book an appointment though - they need to sort out the incompetent shambles that is their bookings system.

  8. Review titled Amazing Nursing Team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Susan Hall - Posted on 13 July 2023

After having surgery left with an open wound and released from hospital feeling very confused. Booked in to see the nurses to have wound packed and dressed every day. On first appointment the healing process was explained to me in detail which put my mind at rest. Wound heals from bottom up. I saw all nurses over a 3 month period and they got to know my pretty well. They are always friendly, explaining how the wound was doing and giving me advice on what I should and shouldn’t do to help the wound heal. They shared my disappointment when healing slowed down and celebrated with me when healing well. Going every day is pretty gruelling but always met with a smile and a friendly face. I want to thank all of the nurses that helped me during the last 3 months you all made it so much easier for me. Amazing team!

  9. Review titled Disgusting treatment!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 July 2023

Tried to register as a new patient today, was “greeted” by an extremely rude receptionist who said “you can’t we’re full”…….what do you mean “Full”, I’m a human being that pays my NI contributions and taxes and you’re telling me I can’t register……. So I was given a piece of paper for another surgery to “try”…….. Seriously, my father has just passed away I need help now, and all I get is a piece of paper. You should be ashamed of yourselves and I will be taking this mater further! You are a complete and utter waste of time!
