The practice Nurse who dressed my leg on 6,15 & 16 January 2025. This Nurse was Professional, caring and committed to patient comfort. I truly appreciate the efforts put into ensuring my speedy recovery, her kindness did not go unnoticed. thank you.

Were to start it's almost impossible to deal with the surgery I am an old man I don't do tech You can't book an appointment over the phone they don't care unless they want to give you a COVID or flu jab that they get paid for I have not seen a Doctor in 14 months Why is the care so bad? If you can't book appointments by phone why have a phone number my daughter has got the app for me still can't book an appointment

We are sorry to read your review and your negative experience in dealing with our Practice. Firstly, we would say it is difficult for us to go into any level of detail in responding to your comments on this public platform, or contact you directly to discuss as you have posted anonymously. We would certainly encourage you to put your specific feedback in a letter, or email to mydoctor@nhs.net Thank you for your comments you have made regarding difficulty booking an appointment, we are strongly encouraged by Kent & Medway ICB and NHS England to find new technology solutions to enable our patients to access our services. Part of this was the introduction of Anima where patients can contact us for routine appointments, admin or prescription requests/queries. Our Reception Team can assist any patient who may have difficulty using this system and complete the Anima request on the patient’s behalf. This is in part, to assist in the reduction of high volumes of incoming telephone calls, and to give all patients fairer access to services. Also, all appointment requests go through a triage system to ensure the patient receives the correct assistance and care at the right time. This is in addition to our daily walk-in clinic at our Linton surgery where patients can present on the day, without a pre-booking, with newly presenting acute illness and will been seen by one of our experienced clinicians. The reality is, like most GP surgeries in the UK, we are extremely busy and there is a very high demand for our services. With regard to your comment on COVID and flu vaccinations, these are services we are contracted to provide by NHS England, and of course with any contract, there is a payment we receive for each patient vaccinated. If we did not receive such payments we would not be able to cover the costs of providing these vaccinations. Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation in the public domain regarding how GP surgeries are contracted and funded, and such comments as these are unfounded and unhelpful. Finally, as stated at the beginning please do contact us directly to detail your concerns and we will be happy to fully investigate.

The service staff provided excellent service on the day, and they were very polite and professional. However, I encountered an issue when attempting to charge my electric car. The designated electric vehicle charging spaces were occupied by two non-electric vehicles, preventing me from charging my car.

With regard to the EV charging points these are not available for use to the general public, including patients of the Practice. I joined the course in April as someone who was apprehensive about trying to jog for more than 100m. The coaching was supportive and non-pressuring but highly inspirational. The group bonded together well along the same lines and after some sessions we were encouraged to share personal problems if we wanted to. I just finished a 5k jog not having thought it would be remotely possible. The course has helped me to look at some problems I am facing with a fresh belief that they can be overcome. I also feel so much fitter. I recommend this course to you.

I joined this programme in April with a firm belief that I could not ever achieve a 5k run. The coach is fantastic and encouraged all of us every step of the way. Some of us run and some of us walk so you can take any approach that works for you. The people I have met during the group sessions have been lovely and I recommend this programme to everyone. If I can do this then anyone can.

I started Beginners 2 Runners Course in January 2024. A Health Coaching initiative introduced at the surgery to help provide alternatives to medication. The 10 week course encourages participants to improve their physical, mental and social health. It has been a very supportive experience. Our Coach and his team are very light hearted and we have had a lot of fun and laughter whilst being supported to complete the weekly workouts. Everyone has come with differing levels of ability and positivity but this has encouraged the group to become an amazing support to each other. At the end of 10 weeks I did achieve my 5K certificate something that after week one I never thought that I would achieve. Once the ten week course ended the coaching team have continued to meet with us twice a week and we continued to improve as a group. The next session started in April 2024 and as group one went out on their runs and walks they also met up with the second group and we have continued to support group two who have a couple of weeks until they will now complete their course but guess what? We will all continue meet up twice a week and a go off together and when group three starts we will then support the new group by sharing our experiences, good and difficult and be there to encourage each and every person to achieve their personal best and become more connected to others in their community. My husband joined the second group and will also continue when his course finishes. We will also be joining in social events being arranged for this summer.

My family member had been in contact with the surgery over a period of months for various reasons, some on-going and some new, which were concerning her greatly and affecting her mental health. Upon receiving her appointment a month or two later, she had a blood test to tell them why she was feeling the way she was. However, after a meeting with the nurse to discuss the results, it would seem that one main test was not even completed and the other result she was simply told 'you are in the correct bracket'. She hasn't been able to see a doctor for well over a year and is thankful for the walk in centre as otherwise we don't know when she would have received the half treatment she has. She has now been forced to go private, to seek treatment for the concerns she has and is feeling rather neglected and let down. She has attempted to bring this all up, but gets told that they only deal with things like this online and therefore she, must keep trying. This is not acceptable. As a family member who is aware of her complaints, I am extremely concerned for her well fare moving forward. In one meeting with the private nurse, she highlighted the issue immediately with the blood test. The staff are friendly and we know the pressure on the NHS and this is not specific to this single surgery, but it seems like they just need to listen to some patients a little more as age, and lack of dramatic symptoms, should not be dismissed to improve quality of life. She just felt a bit fobbed off.

The worst practice for getting to see a GP! Ive not known any other practice like this! I’ve tried for 4 months and have now managed to get an appointment in May! I’ve been sent to Maidstone Hospital, where I met other Greensand’s patients, all of us clogging the system up, and the doctors there shaking their heads in disbelief when I show them the texts we receive from Greensand’s telling us to go there!! The paramedic I saw at Greensands back in December, sent me to hospital urgently stating it’s quicker if I get someone to take you rather than call an ambulance! It’s just disgraceful that this is the state of Greensand’s and the NHS overall!! I could go on and on but hey ho!

I started this course with some trepidation, not knowing what to expect. I wanted to get fit, but had not run for quite some time. I need not have worried. From the start, everybody was really supportive of each other and the coach and his team were fantastic. We were all at different levels of fitness and ability to start with, but each gradually settled into their own rhythm, helped with advice and support from the team leaders. After 10 weeks, having graduated the Couch-2-5k with my certificate, I am continuing to meet up with others at Greensands, regularly twice a week, when possible. A new Beginners to Runners Course started in April, and original members have now joined up to support them in their final few weeks, before graduating. The next course starts in July, and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who would like to improve their health and well-being. As you find yourself getting fitter you don't have to run, you can walk if you want to, or do a mixture of both. The latter is what I still tend to do, which also gives time to chat and support each other as we exercise.

The kindness and compassion and dedication and expertise you showed during that appointment was beyond what I had expected. It led me to conclude that you have had specific training in this area of mental health or if you haven’t, you are extremely naturally gifted with these skills. Not only were you able to show professionalism and respect that resonated with our teenage son but you showed us, his parents, the same.
