  1. Review titled Fast, efficient and effective

Rated 5 stars out of 5

After a few weeks of increasing hip pain I filled in an e-Consult form at 8:30 on Wednesday before Christmas, expecting to be contacted sometime in the New Year probably. At 9:30 I got a call from the practice inviting me to see the doctor at 10:20. After taking my history and examining me to rule out sciatica and inguinal hernia he diagnosed arthritis with a number of possible causes, and made an appointment for an X-ray at the local hospital. He also prescribed painkillers for the short term. I drove to the hospital where I was on the list already, and had the X-ray within 20 minutes. All done within 3 hours of my initial on-line submission. Depending on what the X-rays show I will have further discussions on treatment - in the meantime the prescription for painkillers has already been sent to my preferred chemists. This is not a tale of high drama, my life was not in danger, but it was handled with speed and efficiency. Everyone I met (two receptionists, doctor, radiologists) was friendly and helpful. Everything was joined up. It all went much quicker than I could possibly have expected. I am sure most of the comments that you get are complaints, so I wanted to record my happiness with the service I received.

Thank you kindly for taking time to provide this feedback on services at the practice, It helps to get good feedback. All requests are triaged by a senior clinician and acted on appropriately and with as much efficiency as possible. That sometimes may mean being referred to other services too. Our aim is always to get patients to the right person (not always a GP), in the right time (might not be today) and to the right place (might not be the practice) in the collaborative health service approach.

  2. Review titled A surgery is only as good as the GP's. 5* Dr O

Rated 5 stars out of 5

At 64 I have rarely attended the Doctor's, but increasingly and for occasional common sense checks I have recently. The Doctor I had twice now is exceptional, in all my years I cant remember someone who is as authentically interested and listened. In all, my Grove House visits have been great, reception was friendly and helpful, the bloods lady was good at her job and the GP was attentive and expert. Both at the visits and in following up with a call to say all was OK. Now they are busy, and I know some GP's dont call if there is no problem, only if there is. But the issue with that is we patients dont know if there is no issue or the GP just forgot to call. The call to say all is well was the best call I had all year! Especially given my friend in Worcester recently died of Cancer in just 3 months. So my thanks to Grove House and this GP in particular. Thank you!

Thank you for your comments on the Practice and service you received, That means a lot and I have shared it with the practice staff. I know we don't always make every patient feel this way all the time. We are all a little perplexed at healthcare generally, with such poor incorrect media coverage but it so welcoming to hear this especially when we are trying so hard, all day every day THANK YOU
