    I feel at last after the pandemic things are beginning to get back to some sort of normality. My husband has a lot of health issues and at last things are being done and Drs are listening one Dr in particular has been amazing.

    For over a months (and I'm not even exaggerating), I've been trying to book an appointment for my 2 year old son. Calling is pointless since they don't answer the phone and I have been in more than 3 times, but every time got the answer that they don't have appointments for the next two weeks. This is exactly the reason people end up at A and E.

    I regularly struggle to get appointments when needed. The phone lines are engaged and simply disconnect you and the e-consult is unavailable leaving no way of contacting your GP Practice. I have been trying at various times for the past 4 weeks and cannot get through. I will have to resort to going in to the reception desk though I don't know if that will help me get an appointment. This is very poor service as I am left with the anxiety of something I need to see a GP about as it is classed as non-urgent, yet worrying for me, and I am absolutely unable to access the support I need. I've never experienced this in previous GP practices in other areas, so this is the worst experience I've ever had of a practice.

    When a person needs health care they should be able to reach a GP via a phone call. Sadly, not in the case of Hanham Health Surgery. Registered patients, including my self have had to use other means. This is simply not acceptable practice. I need to speak to my registered GP, not the 111 or Ambulance Emergency Service. But I'm afraid I haven't been able to get through to my GP on the phone now this is my 10th attempt this morning and still nothing..I get hung up on..as a result my frustration has lead me to write to my MP Chris Skidmore and to the CQC.

    Impossible to contact on the phone throughout the day. Permanently engaged over several days. Not recommended until they resolve their communication/telephone line issues.

    This practice has gone downhill and does not seem to find a way to improve their service, they just make excuses. Recently it took 15 attempts throughout the day and then 25 mins waiting time to speak to someone, only to find that appointments for the date I needed were not available 2 weeks in advance - this was the second time of trying. The nurse I saw today for that treatment was rude and literally didn't speak to me - this is someone who is supposed to be taking care of patients! The service from the on-site pharmacy is appalling, with huge queues forming as prescriptions aren't made up until a patient calls for them. Patients phoning the pharmacy stand no chance as they don't answer the phone. My elderly mother couldn't find out if her 'urgent' prescription was out for delivery, so I went to the pharmacy and they hadn't even got to the request. This place needs an admin overhaul to organise their facilities in a more efficient manner and stop blaming past problems for the current ones. The service wasn't this bad in 2019. The Doctors see so few patients on-site so surely this should enable them to run a more streamline service. I'm so disappointed in this surgery and would like to move but am nervous that anywhere might not be any better. It's disappointing to see their rating is based on a check from 2019, which isn't really current now.

    It is impossible to get through on the telephone - have tried over 100 times this week. With econsult turned off there is no way to talk to a doctor about health issues. The service from Hanham Health was never good but it just gets worse by the day.

    After challenging times and no doubt increased workload for all healthcare staff I just wanted to extend my gratitude to this practice. The care I received yesterday was exceptional and very thorough. The flu covid clinic are very organised and efficient. As patients we do not always see the full picture as to the pressures you have to work under and sadly negative experience get voiced readily unlike positive comments.

  9. Review titled eConsult being turned off

    eConsult was brilliant to put a message through for people who work full time and need to get a message to the GP. It being turned off was a terrible mistake as now people cannot get help for small issues which do not require a GP appointment and cannot be dealt with via pharmacy.

    Trying to get in contact with the practice is near impossible. Most days that I have tried to contact them, the phone lines aren't working. They have also switched off e-consult.
