Harambee are just what you need in a surgery. Never seem to struggle to get through, appointments seem readily available and excellent practice nurses.

Over the years I've used various GP practices for my health needs. Around 11 years ago my wife and I moved into the area and joined the Harambee practice. This practice is far and away the best practice we have had. All the staff, and I mean all the staff are courteous and efficient. They have looked after us with courtesy and professionalism. Thank you Harambee.

Very helpful staff and always get an appointment fairly quickly! I always use their pharmacy and the staff are very friendly and helpful! I would really harambee practice to all my friends and family.

I had a bad case of food poisoning and the dr asked me to bring a faeces sample in on a Monday to send off for testing. I was also having problems with suspected cystitis so I sent in a urine sample too for testing. The practice nurse phoned me and asked why I had sent in the urine sample. I explained the problem and that was the end of the conversation as far as I was aware the samples had been sent off to the hospital. Nobody phoned me to let me know any results so I phoned on the Friday to get the results. The receptionist said that there was nothing on the system about the urine sample and to speak to the nurse on Monday. I had an appointment with the nurse for something else on the Monday so I took a urine sample in to her but she would not accept it and could not give me an explanation of what had happened to the sample I had given them the previous week. She said to tell the receptionist my symptoms and they would ask the doctor if he wanted a sample or whether just to give me antibiotics. My point is is that I had been suffering for over a week with cystitis, as well as the food poisoning, and no one had the decency to tell me to let me know the procedure had changed. If I hadn’t seen the nurse on the second Monday I don’t know how long this would have gone on for. I was under the impression that you should be treated with dignity and compassion but this is very much lacking at this surgery.

All of the staff are polite, professional, listen and do their upmost to help everybody, every time. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

After a well man check up I arranged a Doctors appointment. A few days before they rang to say the Doctor had availability and I could bring the appointment forward if I wanted. What's not to like?

I moved surgeries a couple of years after having moved to Colne. This has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. The surgery and all the staff have supported my husband and I through some very challenging times. Even though the original GP who set the surgery up has retired. The current owners have continued to follow his ethos. The reception staff from the moment you ring are so helpful. They are efficient, humane and do what they say they will. They are an absolute credit and should be showing other surgeries how it should be done. The GPs do an amazing job. Again you don’t feel rushed, they listen and are extremely thorough in every thing they do. They keep their patients at the heart of the process. Nursing staff are a credit to the nursing profession and all of the staff together make the surgery a first class primary health care team. I just wish everyone could access such good care. They do a hard job, often dealing with people at their worst, but I have to say I appreciate every year I have been registered here.

Offered face to face or phone call... seen and problem discussed and referred to necessary person. Also seen others in the practice on the same day as my call. New patient at the practice and felt nothing was an issue and sorted promptly

I have only experienced positive experiences with my GP Surgery. Always polite and efficient staff on reception. I’ve always been phoned back when necessary, I always feel listened to and never an inconvenience.
