    Requested appointment for 12 year old child. Had obvious signs of infection and in a lot of pain. Explained all signs and symptoms to receptionist who said some would call me back. Received Txt Message to say my call had been reviewed and they would Aim to see my child within 8 weeks. Unhappy with this I contacted 111 and was reviewed by paediatrician at York hospital who prescribed a course of antibiotics for a localised infection. Very poor service, particularly for a child. Would not recommend to family or friends.

    I am in a situation where I cannot come off antidepressants because if I cancel my prescription, it will take 11 weeks to be able to speak to a GP to get the precription reinstated. They offer you a nurse to speak to instead but a nurse has no understanding of my situation of being in a wheelchair- obviously I have serious physical problems. Basically the lack of GPs is making patients such as myself have to take tablets without being able to come off them. I am facing a year as a zonked out zombie because there are no doctors.

    Unfortunately l have many ongoing health issues which l try to manage myself or l ask a Pharmacist but at times l need more help . I don’t want to be the regular attender but l am. The online access to a GP isn’t too bad it’s just when you are called by an unknown mobile number it is pot luck if l answer because it is often sales. It would be helpful if you knew the number that would be calling or an approximate time. I have also seen that l haven’t attended appointments which looks like l have wasted NHS time but l haven’t known l had these appointments. Ordering repeat prescriptions can be time consuming as l seem to have to put a special request in each time. I think under the circumstances the practice tries very hard and usually does a good job. It’s the middle ground of care that is difficult, a lot of things are not urgent enough for A&E yet bothersome enough to want expert care and advice. We are very lucky to have this service but people also have to try to look after themselves so the service can function.

    I was calling for a sick note to be told twice on the phone my doctors on leave and I can't get one. I've just called again and mentioned what was said before and the women on the phone said that's a lie any doctor can give me one and she doesn't know why I've been told that. Been waiting months for one for them to say that

    Unnecessarily difficult to get an appointment at this practice or even speak to a person! I have been waiting for reception to answer the phone for over 2 hours to book my child's flu vaccination which had to be cancelled twice and was impossible to rearrange any other way. The online form is terrible if you need to book a routine screening or vaccination appointment, there is no option available so you end up adding incorrect information to the form and opening up many irrelevant sections of the form as a result. Unnecessary waste of patient time. The number of times I've completed the online form to then be shown a screen that online forms are not being accepted is ridiculous, another unnecessary waste of patient time. If you have an online system then it should be open continuously. If you have a phone system then it should be manned so that people aren't waiting for (literally) hours. Routine appointments are not offered for months. The service is not patient-friendly at all just now, a real shame since the people are actually really caring if you can get an appointment.

    I am so frustrated with Haxby, don't know who to turn to, they are stressing me out whilst they should be helping me, cannot get a simple thing right like sending a prescription through, Ordered our meds for our upcoming 2 month holiday ordered in Sept and still haven't got them, it's now 7th Nov, this is just incompetency nothing else, there's no excuse for this, I'm seriously thinking about emailing the BMA to ask them why I have to go to a foreign country without my medication, fed up now

    Every time I try to make any form of comment I keep getting cut of half way though my experience so I’ll be very quick to state my grievance,urgent requests are all but ignored.urgent request for my tablets all but ignored although I’d run out of them,urgent request to speak to a doctor all but ignored.All this after returning from hospital with many questions to answer but an urgent request obviously means nothing!!!
