    I attended for asthma review which was carried out by an HCA. I found her to be pleasant and felt relaxed in the consultation. She actually listened to my replys to her questions rather than having her own agenda. She offered safe, sound and practical advice. Well done.

    My experience with the nurses over last 5 months has been brilliant . Care and support has been over and above , just so caring and accommodating couldn’t have had better care x

    Having been discharged from KGH after a cardiac event my discharge notes where automatically sent to the surgery. The System Online interface has a feature to book an online appointment as my working hours do not allow me to ring at 08.00, this no longer works, I spent 4 days trying to make contact waiting at position #1 for 55 minutes on the 4th day but no-one answered. I have never been able to get through after 16.00 even though the surgery hours are 08:00 to 18:00. On the 5th day I had to take time off work to ring and then was 52nd in the queue but had the option for a call back. I needed a new prescription for the new medication the hospital had prescribed as I was now running out. When the call back finally came through I was told a doctor will not be available to do the prescription for a further 5 days! I think this surgery needs to be closed down and something better be put in place staffed by people who want to help people, this is the second time I have been turned away and told I will have to wait up to 5-6 days for a prescription.

    Recent contacts with the Surgery much improved, the call back feature works well and is a great improvement on waiting on the line in a massive queue

    Gp was very thorough, weny beyond what I was there for,have had good experience with this gp when my mum was terminally ill,I feel more hopeful after my appointment

    very friendly staff.Helpful and make you feel at ease both doctors and nurses explained everything that was going on. Had my first ever bloody test while there on a visit and the Nurse that carried this out was extremely helpful. also had a recent health check up and again the nurse that carried this out was very helpful thanks everyone

    If you can ever actually achieve an appointment with a doctor or nurse, the care from Headlands is good. However, to get that appointment, you will have to devote hours and hours to hanging on a phone and / or repeat dialling at 8am in the vague hope you will be one of the chosen few. Many of us have jobs where it simply isn't possible to spend an hour every day at 8am trying to get an appointment. I tried registering online (and had to physically visit the practice in my lunch hour to collect and drop off a form to register because the receptionists can't handle email) but there are never any online appointments available to book. I was recently texted by the practice asking me to arrange an appointment. I spent five hours on the phone over a number of days trying to get through - only to be spoken every time to by an incredibly rude receptionist who was absolutely no help and simply said there were no appointments before putting the phone down. I'm now looking to change to another GP who will hopefully be more supportive of people who work.

    The doctor was very thorough, caring and interested in my background medical history and did not rush me although I needed to overstay my allocated time. As with most surgeries these days getting an appointment is difficult and the telephone booking line struggles to cope.

    Called surgery to arrange a same day face-to-face appointment with GP. Arranged for later that day which I was pleased about about as I was concerned about my condition. The doctor I saw was very pleasant and listened to me as I explained, she showed empathy and checked me over before prescribing medication and telling me her plan of action. Very pleased and hope I see this doctor again.
