    Had an appointment booked for 4:40, at 5:30 I was still waiting to be seen. Apparently the referral for the appointment hadn't even gone through to the Dr I was seeing. I was told the Dr was going to do examinations and referrals to get Me some help with my condition but all he did was take my blood pressure and prescribed me some medication which I could have just got over the phone. I go to both St James's and old field park surgery, both lack any care for patients, waiting times are ridiculous, you spend an hour waiting just to be in with the Dr for 5 minutes. Every time you ring the surgeries your on hold for hours at a time. You never get to see the same Dr twice so long term illnesses are always having to be reexplained, it's just a revolving door of Dr's. Heart of bath was a terrible idea, the NHS is failing. Dr's don't care anymore your just another number to them.

    Heart of Bath are really bad at patient liaison. There is no continuity of care. I appreciate the staffing levels are low but some of us are severely unwell physically and mentally and require ongoing treatment and discussion with a GP that understands our history. Having to explain again every time can be a traumatic experience for a patient who is already on the edge. I have made complaints and basically been told it’s my fault for wanting to speak to my usual doctor even when I am happy to wait weeks. Can never ever get through on the phone. Receptionists are all rude, curt and take no accountability for their actions yet if you show the minorest bit of frustration and I don’t mean being rude, I mean showing frustration you are told to feel free to find another practise. This is people’s personal lives and health - the only real importance in the world and you are made to feel like a nuisance constantly. Even when you do complain you get nowhere. Really badly managed

    Thank you for your review, unfortunately, we have a number of staff currently absent from the practice due to having COVID, and 5 members of staff away on maternity leave, we are unable to always provide appointments with the same clinician, we fully understand your frustration and aim is to improve this. We would be grateful if you could contact the practice manager who may be able to help with your current situation. ________________________________________
