Review titled Wait Times
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 29 October 2024
Today I waited 45 minutes for my appointment with a locum doctor , as did several other patients who were in the waiting room at the same time. This made me very anxious as it was a long time to overthink the appointment, and does not work well for people who have work or other commitments. We were not warned of any delays until a patient went to the desk to ask.

We are sorry about the lengthy waiting times recently. It is something we are aware of and are taking steps to ensure this doesn't happen in the future.

Review titled Amazing service

by Lisa Bullen - Posted on 06 September 2024
I cannot praise this surgery enough. The lady who took my call understood my needs and got me an appointment the same day and then the Dr I saw was incredible. A lot of women struggle to be heard when it comes to HRT, but this Dr was extremely knowledgable in the subject and understood my symptoms, and prescribed what he thought was the right treatment, without me having to ask for it, or as some women sometimes have to - put up a strong case to receive it. I walked out of there in tears at being listened to, understood, and hopefully on the path to feeling like my old self, and i cannot thank the team there enough.

Review titled Never found anything so hard
by TESS - Posted on 25 July 2024
I have been on HRT for a while been having few problems recently i was referred however i decided to go private to speed the process up the specialist changed my medication and i had a scan which was sent to the surgery i rang because it wasn't on my notes to be told it hadn't been received i had a copy of it i was told that i couldn't send the copy's in and the doctor will not prescribe medication even though it has been prescribed by a specialist because i had seen someone private i have never had so much hassle in my life. I truly believe that the doctor does not understand the menopause or try's to understand how you are feeling. This has caused a lot of unecessary stress and at the moment of leaving this review i am no further forward. Doctors should at least try and understand the menopause i saw a specialist in the field and had to pay private in the end for a prescription that the doctor could have done for me.

Review titled Uniform policy
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 24 July 2024
I took my mother for a blood test today and was surprised to see that the CSW was wearing a pale blue uniform top with jeans and pumps. She was wearing nsil varnish and jewellery ie bracelets and her long hair was loose. In addition she did not wash her hands. In short she looked scruffy. As an NHS nurse we havd always had to abide by uniform policy of being bare below the elbow and jeans and pumps are totally unacceptable. i assumed that this policy also applied to GP practices. She is representing your practice and the NHS and does give a good impression to patients or their relatives.

by Johanne Newens - Posted on 09 April 2024
Today I arrived after the surgery was closed having got caught in traffic leaving work and the surgery having 1/2 day closing. A member of staff helped me get a repeat prescription form and let me post it. I would have run out of medication without this ladies help. A credit to the NHS going above and beyond. Thank you

Review titled Excellent service once again
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Paul Bishop - Posted on 27 November 2023
As a family we have used High Street Surgery for over 30 years. We have always been looked after very well, and my treatment for a specific problem over the last month has been excellent. A lot of criticism is demonstrated on social media and main stream media channels about GP Services, and I feel we are so lucky to have an exceptional one like High Street as our surgery.
