    I arrived to my practice early and signed in and it reached my appointment time yet my name was not called and i had been waiting at least nearly 45 minutes for my appointment when i was apprently “the next patient” i told the receptionist and she just kept saying i was next patient and the wait time was just awful absolutely awful and this isnt the first time its happened before when im apprently the next patient i understand other people need care but the doctor didnt have any patients at all and still didnt call my name when it had been nearly 45 minutes since my original appointment time

    I have been with this surgery for over 20 years and I have always received best care and treatment, all I do is follow the instructions and appreciate on odd occasions, I may have to wait few minutes to be answered on the phone. Recently, I was seen by a GP who took time to listen to my queries and concerns and explained to me findings and next steps. I also received an call from this GP the same evening to agree on next steps. As part of this visit, I also spoke to a nice person at the reception (on the phone) and also spoke to a medical secretary, they both were friendly and courteous. I am happy to be registered at Highcroft Surgery.

    I had to attend the surgery, I was greeted by an extremely friendly and helpful receptionist. She put me at ease and advised me what she was going to do and what would happen. I am extremely grateful, I know it is not an easy job but credit where credit is due.

    Unfortunately myself and my daughter both came down with the Flu on 25/12/24. Highcroft saw us both on 27/12/24 first thing after ringing and again spoke with me on 28/12/23 and made a follow up appointment for us both on 02/01/2024. We are so grateful for the kind receptionists and GP’s who have helped us manage and recover from the Flu. Thank you for great service

    This doctors surgery is the worst I’ve ever known or heard people talk about, I have been messed around so much the past year!! I wouldn’t recommend anyone joining this surgery, I call to see a doctor I’m told I can have a call with a pharmacist it’s rediculous

    Been a patient here for around 11 years, staff have been amazing and really supportive. I feel as though the empathy and professionalism is always there. Always a response from e consults and drs always call on the day they suppose to

    I just moved from another practice and the healthcare service I experienced at Highcroft was amazing. Right from reception staff to clinical staff, the professionalism displayed was exemplary. This Surgery is quite technology driven. Surgery has health kiosks near reception for patients to self check blood pressure, weight etc, the appointment self booking links option to choose appointment date and time is so welcome !

  8. Review titled Fit to fly signature from a GP

    I am 27 weeks pregnant, diabetic and due to fly to France in 3 weeks time. I contacted my midwife to obtain a signature for a fit to fly certificate (insurance purposes). They advised me to contact my GP. I contacted the surgery. After 27 attempts the receptionist answered and I explained what I needed. I was told I would need to see the GP. They made me a non urgent appointment. I took unpaid time off work to attend the GP appointment. On arrival at the the receptionist told me that the GP would not sign the document, nor would they see me. I asked if had not felt that a simple phone call to relay this information would have been appropriate. They shrugged and said contact my obstetrician. I said I don't even know who that is. They shrugged again!

    I had an appointment yesterday for a persistent ear infection, and I was extremely pleased to get an appointment the same day. The Lady on the phone was really understanding and handled it very professionally. The telephone system has much improved and with shorter waiting times.

    Never had a problem here.Considering the volume of patients they have to help everyday,i think they manage exceptionally well.Everyone is kind.Its easy to forget sometimes that the staff are under alot of pressure.I try very hard to be mindful of that.The doctors and nurses are incredibly good listeners.I worry alot and often need reassurance.I understand that the phonelines are often incredibly busy so i tend to ring them later in the day,which i find much easier.The surgery itself is absolutely lovely.Always warm and very clean.Credit to the cleaning staff for their hard work too.Blood test results in my experience are usually very quick,which is excellent if you worry like i do.
