Without heart meds for 9 days. NHS app- use of text reminders by surgery- pharmacy misinformation- all played their part. In the race for efficiency/saving £ or just understaffed, patient 0 - managerial tick sheet 100%. Put communication at the heart of these processes -

  2. Review titled Improvements needed for disabilities

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I am generally happy with the GP practice but I have recently had a child with additional needs. The upstairs waiting room is not accessible friendly it is not easy or safe to carry a baby with oxygen tank up the stairs, the downstairs waiting room should be used. I also had to wait and have a separate appointment as the nurses were unsure if they could give my child an immunisation based on her needs. This research should have been done before the appointment so that she received the same care as any other child and is not treated differently.

The practice pharmacist gave me a call today to discuss the pros and cons of taking a new drug for my existing condition He was very helpful in assisting me to make a decision

  4. Review titled Very professional.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have not used this practice for a number of years and quite frankly I was not looking forward to going back. How wrong I was right from start to finish the receptionists ,doctor, and nurse were on the ball friendly and professional. They listened to me with understanding and made quite clear what was going to happen. A thoroughly pleasant experience. Such a change from when I visited all those years ago. Definitely recommend this Gp Surgery.

  5. Review titled Consistently top quality treatment by practice nurse.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Martin Yarnit - Posted on 26 March 2025

Appointment on 24 March was typical top quality in terms of the warmth of approach of everyone I have dealings with and the quality of care. I rarely wait long to access a practitioner. Doctors follow through on treatment eg modifying medication when necessary.

  6. Review titled Empty waiting room!

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I was surprised that the surgery was devoid of patients. The nurse was a friendly face with a calming demeanour. She was patient with me and added to the lower blood pressure. On the whole the place was clean and tidy, with the open windows letting fresh air in. I was satisfied with my visit and the answers I received.

Yesterday I had a really good conversation with the nurse at the hollies medical centre.the nurse was thorough, caring, patient and considerate. Having had recently been through a series of blood tests and having some concerns about the results. The nurse took me through an assessment of my condition and really left me feeling cared for and supported

I recently had an appointment with one of the practice nurses. She was professional, friendly, patient and supportive. She took time to listen to me and made very helpful suggestions, with a further appointment made as follow up. I have nothing but praise for this individual and this service.

  9. Review titled Incredibly helpful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had a meeting with the nurse about an issue - she was incredibly helpful and talked through all the options with me. My situation is slightly complicated so she went away and checked with the doctor then rang me back the same day to give further advice and book a follow up. She was absolutely brilliant and so helpful and kind.

  10. Review titled Good experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended the practice recently, due to my disability I can’t climb steps and there’s no lift so the GP kindly came to the ground floor to make it easier for me, I had emailed my concerns and she addressed each of them and also added extra support steps for me to explore, I’m very happy with this practice and would recommend it to anyone, they always do that bit more
